I had a very disappointing experience today as an Uber Eats driver. While I understand the importance of confirming order pickups, the behavior of the staff was unnecessarily intrusive and disrespectful. They not only reminded me to confirm the pickup, which is standard and acceptable, but went as far as demanding to see my phone to ensure I had confirmed the order. This action was demeaning and implied a lack of trust, as though I might be dishonest or trying to steal the food. As a driver, I want to clarify that confirming an order is not just mandatory but also essential for us to proceed with the delivery and access the customer’s address. There is absolutely no incentive for drivers to avoid confirming an order—it would waste our time, delay the delivery, and reduce our earnings. In fact, even when we have to wait for an order to be prepared for 30-40 minutes, we are compensated minimally, often earning only $5 for such delays. Completing deliveries is far more lucrative for us, as we can earn more than triple that amount. The idea that a driver would intentionally avoid confirming an order is baseless. I understand that businesses might have faced rare issues with certain drivers in the past, such as failing to confirm or canceling an order after pickup. However, these isolated incidents do not justify treating all drivers with suspicion and disrespect. A simple, polite request to confirm the order is more than enough for the vast majority of us, who are professionals dedicated to ensuring...

Walked in. Wasn't greated or acknowledged.
Went up to order. Server left me standing at the til with no recognition while he had a discussion with another team member.
Eventually a girl took over the order but she was so painful quiet I had to say pardon 3 times as I could no hear her over the music. I understand she may be young and shy. But if a customer is repeatedly saying pardon. You need to raise your voice to a volume appropriate to the environment.
My food came in reasonable time. I didn't get cutlery. As I'm not a regular customer customer I didn't realise cutlery is self serve
I went to go and get cutlery. There were no knives and only 2 very dirty folks in the pot.
I took the pot to the til to show the team member the cutlery was empty and dirty.
Team member didn't say anything to me. Just slowly took the pot.
I asked him to bring me some cutlery please as i didnt want to stand at the til waiting while my food was on the table. And went and sat down next to my food watching it get cold. After 5 mins somebody came out and filled the cutlery up.
I went and served myself and ate my cold chicken.
Nandos used to be popular. I expected more. Apathetic, bordering...

I visited this "restaurant" on a relatively quiet Saturday night.
I rarely use Nando's however I was enticed in with the nice lighting and recent makeover with modern furnishings.
I ordered the chicken wrap with haloumi toasted ...what I received was hardly identifiable. The pita wrap was not toasted and the ingredients were leathery reconstituted chicken. At first bite I should have sent it back but I persisted thinking the rubbery texture was the haloumi, but on closer inspection the haloumi was very thin strip whilst the chicken was the worst I have ever tasted. My partner had pretty much the same but with avocado and hers was bland small and not toasted either. With drinks the bill was around 43 dollars and a complete waste of money. We left and went next door to the Indian where we purchased an amazing mix of curries meats and somosas thali and excellent wholesome cooked fresh food for 22 dollars enough to have some for breakfast the next day.
The moral of the story or in the on trend language of the modern times ...my take away from Nando's is .......DONT , avoid , stay away,...
