Nando's Palmyra — Restaurant in Western Australia

I never leave reviews for food or any other businesses as I know their not always perfect and there’s always room for improvement. Although this experience has been the most traumatic experience I hope no one else has to endure. My friend and I went there as she loves other nando’s in Perth and even though I’m vegetarian. I saw they have a new veggie burger which I was eager to try and I was hungry as I hadn’t eaten all day and it was now 3pm. We went there and the whole place was absolutely filthy, the only table that was ‘clean’ that they appointed to us was dirty and covered in sauce. The food took ages, once my friends food arrived mine took an extra 15 minutes. My burger arrived and to my astonishment there was a rasher of bacon on top of my VEGGIE burger. I was so stunned, my friend called the waiter back and asked what this is. I told him I can’t eat this, I’m vegetarian. He then said this is what you ordered l, I then said I again I literally can’t eat this! I don’t eat any meat at all, and haven’t for over 6 years. He said okay I’ll take it and make another - no apology or remorse was shown which I would have been happy but by my face he should’ve been able to tell I was absolutely horrified and was about to projectile vomit on the spot. He came out with another burger 5 minutes later, which shouldn’t have been so quick since my other burger took over 30 minutes to make. The presentation was horrible, the plate had sauce all over it. I took 3 bites of the burger and could not eat any more, it was just disgusting I have no words. I ate most of the chips, which I have no complaint about as they were perfectly cooked. A couple of hours passed and my stomach was hurting so much it was painful and uncomfortable. I was feeling nauseous and then I was extremely sick. Even though I had boost after and some pizza - none of these came up, only the burger. Food poisoning was not the best way to end the night with my friend. So thank you to Nando’s in Bicton. I will never be going back there, and I definitely DO NOT recommend it to any vegetarians or anyone with dietary requirements. I do not recommend this Nando’s to anyone at all. There was no one ordering food in front of us or in the restaurant waiting on food and it took more than 30 minutes to get our order to us. I had to finally ask it to be put in the takeaway container because all my lunch break was used up. The table was completely dirty and literally had dried sauce on it and it was sticky and disgusting. I had to clean the table myself before sitting.

The tenders and the chicken in the burgers were completely dry and overcooked. The burger, despite taking 30 minutes to cook and wrapped in front of me was stone cold by the time I ate it (less than 3 minutes after picking it up). The chips were soggy and barely had any peri peri seasoning. The burger was literally in a pool of liquid when I opened it on my desk.

Never again... I would rather drive to the Myaree one than to...

An utter disappointment!

The paella grande and hummus we ordered were not even filled up halfway. It’s ridiculous how minuscule the serving size was for such an expensive order. We paid $66. We expected it to be worth the money. Plus, everything we ordered was cold and the chips were stale.

Prior to writing this google review, we did what was appropriate and complained to Nando’s on their company website first. To our further disappointment, we were requested additional supporting photos of both chips and burger before they can even begin looking into our complaint in more detail. We have already finished our food by then. I also do not think we can prove how cold our food was via photos.
