Very disappointing if one was to be after an authentic tasting pizza. Overpriced for what you get and as others have mentioned the toppings are straight out of a can or jar. The eggplant was pickled, the grilled capsicum was out of a can, the crust was exactly what you would find at a pizza hut. On their website's homepage they have an image of a real pizza, with fresh basil and cherry tomatoes which I find to be totally fraudulent as they offer no such toppings or pizza in reality. False advertising is something which I am highly against and after being ripped off will never purchase another "pizza" from this establishment again. My response to owner - It is very arrogant of you to assume I am a competitor and you have just named a completely innocent person publicly of writing this review when I have no association to any Kenwick Pizza. Publicly defaming and slandering someone is a sign of your weak character and I am appalled you would swoop to such lows as assuming every negative review you receive is your competition. I stand by my comments, the toppings I referred to are from a can if you can prove otherwise and the image on your website is not your own product! Second response to owner - I have checked menulog and eatnow and you most definitely have one star reviews, many of which are then suddenly covered by suspicious 5 star reviews almost immediately. Your google reviews also seem to have a similar theme. A flood of one review accounts all over praising your own product and then no activity ever again on the accounts. Further, I have no intention to call and talk to you where you will probably abuse me over the phone as your attitude suggests but regardless I stand by my opinion and review which you have not responded to but rather...
Read moreAfter relentless leaflets in our letterbox advertising award winning pizza we decided to give Pappas a shot from our usual pizza restaurant to see what all the fuss about. What a bad decision. Order a New York Pizza and a Pepperoni for the kids, phone service was commendable and we were told of a 15 minute wait. Upon arriving no sign of a " family run" business just a swarm of Indian staff. Both pizzas were a real let down. The New York Pizza had burnt dried garlic flakes not even fresh garlic? Award winning? Tomato base was clearly not a cooked tomato sauce and tasted exactly like someone had just mixed oregano into a canned paste. The cheese was not a nice buffalo mozzarella instead a thick bright yellow hardened cheap cheese of some sort if it is mozzarella It must be the cheapest available. The meat is definitely not quality cut. I would call it a mince of some sort but the ham was so burnt its clearly mostly plastic with the meat contract being awarded to the lowest bidder. The pepperoni was also very cheap tasting with most of the pizza being fed to our dogs. I think we just paid for the most expensive "cheap" pizzas we have ever had.I recommend anyone to try these pizzas and compare them with a real award winning pizza if you wish to be as...
Read moreI and my partner travel a fair bit around Australia and absolutely love spending time home in Perth as it means we get to drop into Pappa's on Spencer Road, after a long flight from Brisbane there is nothing more we love to do than drop in and grab a feed before heading down the coast.....
reasons to buy food here. : friendly service : most nights the business owner is there who makes the time to get to know you on a personal level : competitively priced : Convenient location beside the local pharmacy and IGA store on the main road in Thornlie : Across from the local train station should you want something quick on the way home from work : ALWAYS fresh ingredients : Gluten free bases and dietary needs can be fulfilled (just ask)
but above all else you'll love the food, lashings of toppings with a choice of crusts and sauces, plus you can create your own pizza or have a half and half too :)
On a personal note, I can't wait to get back to Perth for more awesome pizza, just wish the poor bugger had the money to open in Brisbane :) perhaps that's something he can look at...
