Chimek Vic Park — Restaurant in Western Australia

I went there late at night, so I can't say for how it is when it is busy at peak periods. But the service was lovely and warm and the food was really tasty. A bit of extra grease than usual because it is American bar food, but not overwhelming or too much as places like Varsity can be. Food portions were decent for the prices of the burgers and sandwiches for the style and type of eatery it is, although there were a few items that seemed a bit expensive like the popcorn chicken or tower platter.

When our popcorn chicken came though, the serving was huge. After a burger each, my partner and myself could not even get through half of it. If you are hungry, grab a small side and a drink to go with the burger or whatever meal you are picking ($20ish without a drink, $27 with a beer). The place was fun, inviting, music was very American Varsity bar style. If you don't like profanities or old school hip-hop, you might want to pass, but for us, we heard some old Tupac and it was enough for us to choose the place for a late night bite to eat. It almost looks like a shoe shop from the outside too but we loved the indoor design and feel of it all.

Overall it seems like a great place to grab some food, particularly with friends. The charcoal burger my partner ate was tasty as well as the Philly cheese steak that I grabbed. Nice and soft, not overcooked in any way and presented with care. There are a few beers, soft drinks and milkshakes on offer there. Enough choice to keep most happy. I would recommend this place as I definitely will be visiting again to check out their other food options. Give this place a go if you like the theme, cuisine style and are after an interesting looking place to eat inside. Thanks for the fun...

Terrible, terrible, terrible. Firstly i would like to say i used to like Chimek, when it was only in freo but once they branched out i dont know what happened. This one in particular. Ill tell you my experiences the last 3 times i went. 1/3 i had raw chicken, told the dude that worked there he argued that the chicken was not raw it was perfectly cooked. Im pretty sure if the customer is not happy with the way their meal is cooked then you have to do anything in your power to keep the customer happy. Time number 2, 3 wings and 2 drumsticks. What happened to 3 wings and 3 drumsticks. I didnt think it was worth complaining so i let this one slide, time number 3, so much sauce i could barely find the chicken. I came there to eat chicken with sauce not sauce with chicken seriously get your stuff together. It also seems there is no consistency with the recipe of the sauces always different every time i go. And also the music yo yall need to crank it down a little man and come on put some music that will sooth your meal not irritating...

TL; DR: my order via Uber Eats was delivered late and cold. CHIMEK has a responsiblity to ensure that food doesn't leave their doorstep COLD.

I placed an order over the Internet for Uber Eats home delivery. I received a notification that my order had been picked and would be delivered along with another order on the way. At 6:59 pm the delivery guy was only 5 minutes away from my home when I received a phone call from Uber to say the courier had picked up the wrong bag and had to go back to Chimek Victoria Park. At ~10 mins later at 7:08 pm the delivery guy arrived with my order ---- COLD!

I think it is atrocious that Chimek didn't bother to keep my order hot while it is sitting on their counter for ~20 minutes waiting for the delivery guy to pick it up. Additionally they should have gone "hey! That's been sitting there for quite a while, maybe we should swap it before sending it out??".
