To start off I am a mix Thai/English female, soft spoken and was respectful to everyone that I spoke to today.
Ordered a main for one, changed rice to fried rice for my partner, because I ordered a main for myself I asked if that fried rice was enough for 2, the waiter said no, so I asked for 2 (I'm expecting 2 serves of fried rice in a small bowl) then I asked the waiter again if it's cheaper to get main fried rice and he responded with no so I continued to order other things. When the food arrived for my partner there was 2 exact same dishes, imagine the confusion on my face, I proceed to explain the situation then was told "they cut up to meet already can't take it back" so I told them I didn't ask for it and explained that even if I asked for those 2 dishes it would've been more expensive than if I was to get the main fried rice and asked why the waiter told me wrong information further misunderstanding everything. I explained everything very civil and a different man who came to talk to us start to raise his voice at me saying he doesn't want to argue so he wouldn't charge us and took the main, this was after arguing back and forth for so so long. My parter told me later on the boy that served me was being very rude and disrespectfull by giving me a look as if he was mocking me and/or expressed that I was stupid in some way which was not true, the misunderstanding all came down to him, my partner understood what I was asking but the waiter didn't and proceeded to make me sound crazy to his boss. At the end I wasn't charged for the extra dish but dispointed with the lack of customer service and the willingness to listen, like why was it so hard to just solve the problem in the beginning before it escalated, it would have made me a happy customer and would want to come back again. The experience was just terrible almost made me feel like they would have treated me better if I was their race and/or if I spoke...
Read moreDISSAPOINTING. You'd think it would be hard to get your signature dish wrong ... but they did.. several times. Ordered whole BBQ Duck 3x ways -
Any of the multiple Asian places within a 1km radius will easily out do this slap dash and lack lustre presentation/services with much better ingredients and traditional individual servings by waitstaff.
Duck Broth - one of our party had been before and had this specific (3× types) combination. She specifically asked for some " plain rice noodles" on the side so she could add them to the Duck broth.... what we got was .. a bowl of plain noodles floating in Hot water????
Duck San Choy Bow - nothing special - equally lack lustre ingredients and presentation. NB this arrived shortly after the "noodles"... ??? Still no sign of the Duck Broth???
After a reasonable amount of time the waitress was asked when the Duck Broth would be coming...?
Suffice to say it was a shambles of excuses that included "we dont do that"... "it costs extra for that" ..."it is only available on a Tuesday" blah blah blah No care, No consideration, No responsibility taken .. easier to blame the customer ... (yes the one who had recommended we dine here and had the identical meal combination multiple times ... but not on a Tuesday)
Do your self a favour and try any other place on Albany Highway (e.g. Good Fortune Duck house or right next door at...
Read moreI ordered take away last night and I was not impressed. Compared to the quality of food that I am use to receiving eating at the Restaurant, the take-away was quite different and quality of food very poor. I am a believer in giving constructive feedback so operators can improve their service to customers.
The satay chicken sauce was very water and not very flavoursome. It almost tasted like it had no seasoning at all, and the chicken serving was very small for a large dish, and made up with half cooked onions The Roast Duck and Roast Pork was also not up to standard, it didn’t taste fresh, lacked flavour and we appeared to be given the end bits with no real nice meaty pieces of Roast Pork with crackling. The same went for the duck, it lacked seasoning, it was Roasted however didn’t have much flavour.
The special fried rice was also very poorly constructed with very little flavour and ingredients.
To make things worse I phoned the restaurant giving them the opportunity to offer a good will gesture tonight, however they declined. Saying I should have brought the food back. I live 20 mins away and wasn’t prepared to drive back, not to mention have a Hungary family waiting on dinner. To me this is a sad excuse to often heard to remedy a situation. Bad customer service in my opinion and it seems to be the way fast food restaurants operate and handle complaints and the consumer loses.
Don’t get me wrong we have had very good service and food from here Good One Chinese. However, last nights takeaway was...
