I don't normally leave reviews for any f&b no matter how bad the food or service is. Whether I'm back in SG or when I'm travelling. But, because I felt super offended by your staff. I'm gonna pen this down. I was at Sinamon at 1.30pm on 13th August. My Asian Aussie-Singaporean friend suggested Sinamon to catch up before we flew back to SG the next day. It's not my first time in Perth. Normally most restaurant/cafĂ© that I went to with the dine-in option has toilets for customers. While waiting for my friend to arrive with her family. My bestfriend and her bro who was with me decided to order for themselves first. This is our first time at Sinamon. It was raining and cold and I needed to go to the toilet. I saw the sliding door to the kitchen is slightly open. There was no sign of 'No Entry đŸš« Staff Only' which I normally see at other f&b outlets. Normally the toilets are nearby to the kitchen. I did not even enter, I was just looking if there was any toilet sign inside. The Asian Chinese lady who was working during that time just shouted at me from the front counter! "HELLOOOO!!! Excuse me!!" And her face was super unhappy. Everyone in the cafĂš was looking at me! I was lucky during that time, there was only 1 table filled. My friends who were at the counter were shocked too! But they still proceed to order. Just because we don't want to be so petty. My Asian Aussie friends haven't arrived and they're with kids. I do not want to trouble them and explain too much to them if we decide to change venue. But it was definitely the last time for us there. So to the staff/owner that was working during the time mentioned above. There's no need to shout. You can just say nicely, "Sorry, how can I help? the kitchen is out of bound." Never in my life, I was humiliated like that. I don't even know when I even offended u. We are also paying customers. I observed one thing when I was there. That the staff ONLY greet the Australians/white customers and not the Asians. Cause, when we reach there was no one else besides 1 couple filling up 1 table. It was not bz, but she did not greet us and my friends when they arrived. Remember, it doesn't kill you to be kind to everyone. No matter where they come from and what their race/religion is. No one is superior to the other. Everyone is a paying customer. Check your attitude.

If you're thinking of having food here, I would advise against it—it’s not a fair or honest establishment. In March of last year, when I was new to Perth, I worked a trial shift at this place from 6 pm to 10 pm without receiving payment. During that time, it was just the owner and me working. I assumed I would be compensated, so I didn’t ask about payment until the end of shift. Despite the rain, I was asked to take out a large rubbish bag without any help from the owner, and I wasn’t given any leftover cinnamon buns when I left. Later, I discovered that working without pay is illegal but wasn’t sure how to address it. I shared my experience on a Facebook group, only to find out that the group manager was the owner of the place. She deleted my post and removed me from the group. I was extremely frustrated and disappointed. Because I was busy to find other jobs and didn’t know how to deal with it, so I didn’t take any other actions to fight for me. But after one year, it is still there to make me hurt. So if you're thinking of dining there, I would advise against it—it’s not a fair or honest establishment. And if anyone has suggestions about my bad experiences, please let me know.

Working in East Vic Park is always a delight, with its vibrant street food and cozy cafes. I’ve walked past this spot many times, and today I finally decided to check it out. The cafĂ© itself has a warm and inviting ambiance ✹, with minimal but tasteful decor that sets a nice tone. However, the service left much to be desired. The barista’s lackluster greeting made the experience feel less welcoming than expected 😕. As someone who enjoys exploring local gems, I hold popular spots to slightly higher standards when it comes to service. On top of that, serving their signature chai without a spoon or napkin felt like a missed opportunity to deliver a polished experience—something small but impactful đŸš«. That said, the chai itself was absolutely divine 😍☕, a true standout that almost made up for the service hiccups. Here’s hoping the team can focus on refining their service to match the quality of their drinks. With a little effort, this place has the potential to shine even brighter! 🌟

I have never been treated so rudely at a this establishment and I’ve been to a few. We weren’t greeted whilst standing at the counter for at least 3 minutes while the lady at the counter just ignored us. The place only had another couple at the restaurant so they weren’t busy. We finally got to order only to wait at last another 10+ minutes to get out buns whilst other people who came in after us ordered and received theirs (takeaway) before us. Once we were served I questioned if we had been overcharged as it cos $30 for 2 buns only for the lady to argue with me saying I ordered 3 despite her only bringing 2 to the tables. She then said rudely that she will sort out a credit later before storming off. Waited until we were finished before asking for the credit at the counter and another staff member was about to process the credit when the rude lady belittled the staff member telling her she didn’t know how to do it. Will never go back again. Food was ok
not amazing.

** Edit - To the owner: You obviously did not read the review properly. There was only 1 person in the shop, it was not busy besides being a public holiday. We were left waiting when nobody was being served and treated rudely when your staff mad a mistake! Pull your head in and address the constructive criticism or you will be left with no...
