Bar service was polite and friendly from the Irish guy upstairs. Lack of beer range at the top floor bar was annoying. If I'm ordering table service then you can pour downstairs and bring it up. Cost of large beer is $2 too high relative to all of the other Perth pubs I frequent.
Drunken chicken crumb was delicious, typical Southern fried chicken style (like KFC). The dipping sauce was not my favourite flavour. Some herb like coriander or dill in it was off putting.
The sliders were OK but was expecting more gelatinous pork cheek texture given the menu description but it seemed more like standard pulled pork shoulder. The flavours were OK, was like a fusion five spice and BBQ sauce flavour. Nothing amazing.
The best of the bunch and with my full recommendation was the brussel sprouts. Crispy, crunchy loose leaves with tender, flavourful caramelised sprouts. A generous portion. Really, really good. Don't change anything about it.
The chips were nice with skin remaining on some of them (good), had the same sauce as the chicken which I was not a fan of.
Overall quite good and would say it's worth a try. Would have had more beers if prices were a bit more reasonable.
It was quite busy on Friday lunch (barely a table) so you might want to book if going then.
EDIT (replying to manager):
My feedback was constructive to help you improve (I gave 4 stars which is a good rating) and yet you reply implying that all my feedback is wrong that all my minor criticisms are unwarranted.
Beers were brought to our table so it is logical for me to assume there was table service for drinks when ordering food.
I don't like your implication that because other people liked your sauce that I'm somehow wrong. Your sauce obviously isn't a crowd pleaser if no one in my crowd liked it.
I don't like the overly defensive tone in your reply when I was trying to provide constructive feedback, so I'm reducing your rating...

This may as well have been the message said to us. I wish they just had a sign on the door rather than the staff insulting us in public!
We arrived with a party of 10 (work drinks project team) on 10th January to investigate the suitability of Boston's new venue for two large work functions (80+ people).
After getting blasted by the afternoon sun for two hours (terrible building orientation with no protection for customers), we were told by staff that my 1 year old daughter could not eat her dinner here, as no outside food was allowed. The entire table was absolutely shocked. After speaking to a rather defensive Manager, we were told that they made a mistake and that our baby could have her dinner. Keep in mind, our entire table was consuming food and drinks from the establishment throughout the visit. The Managers body language did not match her words, as she was not even going to set down glasses to shake my hand on introduction.
As a very regular frequenter of the original Boston Brewery in Denmark, I was never expecting the green pastured family environment of Denmark here in Perth. I at least expected to be treated respectfully. I suppose I had in mind that we would find the best of both worlds like Blasta Brewery, which caters to ALL, including families with kids. The only saving grace for this establishment are their bar staff, who are spectacular. Service for the drinks at the bar was quick and friendly. Table service and management could not be worse.
Needless to say many of us will not be attending either of the two Boston Brewery locations again. Their level of professionalism is disgusting and their...

All jokes aside this is a great venue, staff are friendly and plenty of them, but most importantly they have a great selection of beers on tap, in tins for takeaway or even Growlers for that fresh tapped taste at home.
I've eaten there twice now and highly recommend the Slow Cooked Lamb Shoulder to share accompanied by the fried Brussel sprouts and Dutch carrots (3 blokes could not finish it all!)
And it is not just beers they do very well, their Tommy's Margarita was one of the best we've had, so we had three each that night. NB worthwhile quizzing your bar person on how they make it as we saw one guy trying to make one with no idea - but our guy (Clayton) was a Master! New Years Day saw me needing a heart starter so I went with an Espresso Martin made with Mr Black Cold Drip and Old Youngs Coffee Vodka from the Swan Valley - another great cocktail!!!
There's no ability to book at the moment but they told me they will soon, generally there is plenty of tables and a fairly quick turnover of people as they get food etc out very quickly (another plus!!) on the weekend they open up their mezzanine level so there's that too- only issue for the elderly/disabled - it is stairs only (no lift) but shouldnt be an issue for most if you are on ground level. Well worth a try and I will probably see you there as it could well become...
