Tomato Lake Cafe — Restaurant in Western Australia

We came here because you could chill, enjoy a hot beverage and watch the kids play. The Cafe was a little demountable and old. Lots and lots of dog owners come here with their pets.

4 stars for the playground large area and lots of choices and with a Cafe it's great. Walk around the lake with stopping points and a gazebo.

We had a cappuccino, hot chocolate and carrot cake. Cake was lovely and moist, not dry. The hot chocolate was not good and not the worst I have had. Just clumps on the bottom of the cup.

I did go in and have a look at the menu, but nothing stood out and interest me to try at the time.

Carpark is available and free. Though not a lot near the Cafe. You might have to park further and walk there.

Toilets are park public toilets.

Watch out for creepy people. We saw them around. A guy came up to a couple of women sitting at a bench table and just sat down with them. They got scared, got up and quickly walked...

This place used to be a cheap treat but this morning was a shocker: My meal included 2 poached eggs that came overcooked but there was a simple explanation... one was spit-out off!! as in... off!! Also, ordered whole grain toast but received white. Cappuccino was staggeringly light... half froth... how can the staff carrying it not notice?! My daughter had the mushroom stack: flavourless canned sliced champignons, onions that tasted like green curry (?!), undercooked egg, overcooked greens, and avocado that had turned brown... $18 and into the bin it went... and I'm a tightwad!! Shocking. I should have called them out: I'll go back tomorrow to talk to whoever's in charge but it will take a lot of 5-star reviews to convince me to rusk eating there again. Not...

Really terrible customer service. Ordered a drink, they got the order wrong, we took it back asking for the right drink but were told I was in the wrong but they could show no proof of what they took down of my order. They wouldn't replace the drink for the one I asked for, so I asked for my money back and they short changed me. All very rude people behind the counter that I dealt with! 4 people standing around trying to prove I was in the wrong but could not show any proof. Never returning to the cafe, sadly, as we go the lake regularly! Very bad experience, I wouldn't recommend...
