Top Dup Donuts — Restaurant in Western Australia

Ordered a delivery to my address as I have done previously. The website didn't offer me a pop up and order went through & my email stating my *delivery date * arrived. at 12.30pm today I got a text message saying my order needed to be picked up by 1pm quickly phoned and text to see what was happening to be told delivery suburbs had changed and my order had to be picked up explained that this wasn't an option and how I had selected delivery and gave all the details of how I selected a date etc. The gentleman said he would need to speak to manager and be in touch by Wednesday to see if they would refund or not. Manager has text me to say they won't refund as I would of had a pop up on site saying areas had changed etc. Unfortunately for me I did not get this pop up on my phone and I was able to select my shipping address and date etc with no notification as to it being made a pick up. No refund being made. Unfortunately I can't recommend. It's a shame as previously no issues. Hopefully the wording on their emails changes from "Delivery Date" to "Pick up Date" so that others don't end up in the...

Was really excited go try these as my boss kept raving on about them.

For the price definitely not worth it. I understand the time and quality of ingredients but;

The special doughnuts -salted caramel was like eating a mouthful of rock salt. Not balanced at all and consistency of the caramel was off. -mint slice. My mate did not finish it. Nor did I. :( -peanut choc one. The drizzle sauce tasted funky like the bottle used had never been washed. The filling jt self was like dried peanut butter that was over salted. Really disappointing.

Standard doughnuts -Berry lemon was okay, colour was awesome and looked like a natural glaze but lacked a wow factor. Too much citrus, sourness overpowered everything. Can use more rind and less juice? Vanilla? Cinnamon some sort of spice too help round it? -maple bacon. Was nice but did not taste like it wad fresh made that day. Dough had dried out and started to taste stale. -vanilla. Nice glaze but again tasted like it was old and not fresh made that day.

Really let down as...

Oooo boy we were excited to visit here, it’s a stretch from home but after seeing their treats on Instagram, we had to plan a visit!

The staff were cool, easy going and welcoming. The selection of donuts is clear and the sizing options are easy to choose from.

Top Dup offers drip (pot) coffee but does not offer an espresso option. I’m kinda bummed I didn’t try the drip brew, though at the time I felt 4.50 was a little steep. Homeboy gave me the hot tip of the bakery on the corner. I’m giving you the hot tip, try the drip bc the bakery isn’t anything special.

Being green to the Top Dup experience, we selected the mini half dozen option, this came with six different half sized donuts. The best part about this is when we opened our t/a, these little beauties looked EXACTLY like the pictures on their Instagram, and tasted good enough to write home about.
