I think this is only the second 5 I have given recently, and this is dedicated for the pizza. Let me tell you why.

I've recently been cutting back on going out and ordering complicated topped pizzas or pastas. I now crave for simplicity. This change has really made me appreciate the real skills of the artisan that is making the pizza.

My recommendation when you are ordering a pizza and judging the place, you order the margherita. There are only three basic parameters by which you rate it by, and that is sauce, crust and cheese. If they manage to hook you on these three alone, they are a genuinely good pizzeria. Because when you remove the fluff that surrounds most of the other pizzas like meats and vegetables and the like, a margherita pizza leaves a pizza master with no where to hide behind if his skills and ingredients aren't up to scratch.

The crust has this super savory taste to it and it is cooked to perfection. The outside is nice and crispy and the middle you got this great chew. I could almost genuinely eat this alone, its that good. It was not the first pizza that I ordered from this place, but the taste of the crust alone prompted me to give it another go so that I could identify what it is that was so good about this place.

The sauce is excellent and not too sweet. I hate it when most pizzerias put too much sugar or garlic or other things into the sauce. These are tomatoes at their best, a good balance of sweet and sour.

I'm no cheese expert, but the cheese was more than good to my palate and well balanced with the sauce in proportion to the size of the pizza. When this whole package is finished off with torn basil, it truly is a joy to behold as the heat of the freshly cooked pizza out of the oven accentuates the basil's tantalizing perfume.

When you want old school and genuine, I don't think that you can go past this place. Staff are friendly and...

We had "night three of lockdown" takeaway from Two Mad Tuscans (957 Beaufort St, Inglewood).

We ordered the kids size 10" Cute Margherita and the Quattro Formaggi (Tomato, Mozzarella, Gorgonzola, Ricotta, Parmesan and Evoo) in regular 13" size.

The service was super friendly, and for a public holiday Monday, plus last night of lockdown, they also seemed pretty busy with both telephone and walk in orders.

The place is fairly small, but nicely decorated. I believe when not all packed away, they have 4-5 tables inside, and perhaps a table or two out the front.

The pizza's were both very good, it was difficult to choose a favourite, however being the Quattro Formaggi addict, I'd have to say the cheese won me over as usual.

The base on this one was possibly a tiny bit too thin. I had difficulty holding a slice, without the toppings breaking through the base and falling onto my plate, which happened twice.

The edges of the dough were nicely chewy, and had a great taste.

All in all, I give these two mad tuscans 8/10, and look forward to returning there sometime when they can serve dine in...

Ordered what was supposed to be a frutti di mare (seafood) pizza. Paid extra for buffalo mozzarella, which was there, but I don't see much seafood! For $28 plus delivery fee I ended up with enough toppings for maybe 2 satisfactory slices... ended up having to cook a meal for my partner and I after all after this sad excuse and, as per other responses to negative feedback, they say "it's traditional." No, it's a rip-off. I know it's a rough time for small businesses, but this is not a great way to grow your business by serving up stingey servings like this. Would've been better off with a bit of Coles Marinara mix than the dry, microscopic mussels and shrimps (no way they are prawns) that I received. Do yourself a favour and give...

Highly recommend to call them up for seating as place can get easily packed. Their pizza was delicious! Could easily inhale 3 slices in one sitting. Light and flavourful. Gambas could be better - add more salt, lemon, garlic? :) Lasagna was sad. It had 90% pasta and 10% meat, sauce, béchamel. 🥲 Meatballs was sooo good as well! Definitely tastes like homemade. Yummm Tiramisu was fantastic! If you love your tiramisu with more savoiardi than mascarpone, this is it. About 80/20 ratio. Served with fresh cream on the side. It's perfect!! 😍
