This restaurant has come highly recommended and I can understand why. The pizza and two different pastas we had were delicious, this was emphasised by the fact some of our meal was gluten free. They also cater for vegans. Next time I go, I would really like to try the homemade gnocchi. I will be critical about three points, a) The location of the eatery is a little bit of out the way if you don't have a car, b) It is fully licensed so NO BYO pushing the final bill up a fair bit if you have a bottle or two of wine with your meal, and c) We felt really rushed. The waiters had nothing to do, and kept approaching us. The food was rushed out, we were still eating the pizza and the pastas came out despite us asking for a break. Sorry for the whinge but it needed to be said.

Ordered the linguine with chicken pesto, lasagne, seafood pizza. The chicken pesto’s flavours were strong and the dish was delicious overall. The chicken itself was not incredibly tender and felt like it has been refrigerated for quite some time before being reheated in the sauce. Overall though, I would get this again. The lasagne was a bit disappointing. It opted for a very strong tomato sauce but the tartness was overpowering so that you couldn’t taste the mince. Although it’s “homemade”, it reminded me of frozen lasagne. There is a relatively small slice drenched in sauce which makes me think it may be frozen, reheated and then topped with sauce to mask any lack of freshness. In the photo though you can see the puddle of clear liquid flowing from the lasagne which is a tell-tale sign of the lack of freshness. I would prefer a budget lasagne from Aldi to be honest. The pizza was alright. The seafood pieces itself were good and the texture of the base a classic wood fire. However, the cheese and sauce are very, very mild in flavour and the shrimp actually just slipped off because the top was a bit watery. The staff were lovely and the food came out quick. Nevertheless, I did not think the price and quality would merit another visit personally. Oh also, in the Parmesan cheese that customers could sprinkle on, found a little bit of mold…

This place is the real deal. Amazing food and service. The pizzas are the best I've had in the gong. The crust is light and crispy with slight bite to it. The toppings were fresh and generous! I pretty much devoured a whole pizza to myself. The gnocchi was soft and pillowy and the sauce was meaty and flavoursome. We requested the linguine frutti di mate to be done with a cream sauce and they happily catered for it. The highlight was this starter called deepy deepy, an amazing mushroom dip that was full of umami goodness. Paired with fried focaccia it's a must order.

It was my first time at Da Orlando Pizzeria. We started with the garlic fingers. I then had the Linguine Frutti Di Mare, which had the most tender baby occy, calamari and prawns. The only down side, I should of got some chilli in it 🤭. The dish was awesome. Then the dessert, was absolutely delicious. It was like donut pieces with warm Nutella drizzled over it. It's better shared as it is a descent serve, but I got through it. Lastly, the staff were so friendly and the restaurant nice clean and felt fresh.. I'll definitely be going back..

Ive lived in wollongong most of my life and had never tried Da Orlando's before. Had heard many great things and they didnt dissapoint. On a sunday night the restaurant was booming and a reservation is definitely recommended. The food came out quick, the staff were lovely and accommodating and the authentic pizza and pasta made me feel i was in Italy. The table spaces were a little tight but thats also did to the large groups that also wanted to enjoy their dinner and we were understanding. Well done, we'll be back.
