Moon Sushi Wollongong — Restaurant in Wollongong City Council

We came in for dinner a couple of nights ago. It was quite and the staff were friendly. The food, however, was disappointing.

We ordered: Moons Artisitic roll California roll Crab caroke Goyza Mixed plate Sushimi Raman

I tried all of this and honestly, nothing was great. It wasn't terrible but to order so much food and not have any of it taste great was disappointing. My raman was probably the worst. It lacks flavour so much that I had to ask for more sauce and added that in, along with soy sauce and wasabi just to make it eatable.

The sushi and sashimi "tray presentation" looked good but the taste were so bad, we just want to leave----. We'd been to so many Japanese restaurants in Sydney and Japan and this was the first time in our life the sushi taste so bad, rice was warm and soggy!! Prawns were tasteless and the sashimi were not fresh. Flies were seen flying around the restaurant and inside the open kitchen. Both of us had diarrhea after the meals!! I used to love this place. It used to be my favourite Japanese restaurant. It was on the good location with plenty of parking. The only problem I have now is the cost cut. The fishes are still the same quality as before. But it was so tiny and thin. As you can see in the photos that they are so thin and you can see through them. Another shame is the chicken Katsudon. They are not crispy at all. The chicken was sloppy, wet and taste disgracefully. As you can see in the photos that chicken is really tiny the rest just powder.
