ordered takeaway and was asked my name which I gave. The blonde girl called out order for David and there was another David besides me She said he had paid for it and I said I paid also The guy who took my payment came out with another order And said order for David. As he was the guy who served me and said he would bring it out to me so assumed it was mine. When I got home I found it was the wrong order and went back to the restaurant and advised that I had been given the incorrect order. The other David was close behind and the blonde girl said that do you want to swap. I said I wanted a fresh meal. She couldn’t find my meal on the system and asked what I ordered and told her. She had the hide to ask if I had paid for it. I said of course i did would you have given me the food without payment. 5 minutes later I saw her grab the two bags of food and take them into the kitchen. She came back out and said the kitchen could only reheat to which I said, it’s your mistake and your not going to look after your customers by giving them reheated food for a mistake your’e restaurant made, causing both customers to return to the restaurant. Nice, clean establishment. Came on a weekday for lunch. I ordered black bean beef with fried rice lunch special. Please see pic below of beef and black bean. I haven't eaten any in the pic, spoon was just included to provide relative sizing. I like that my dish had carrots, green leafy Asian vegie, carrot, celery not just onion. The proprietors are clearly trying to deliver nutritionally balanced food. YMMV but I'd say it's easily 2 portions. My companion ordered duck and crab. This was not a lunch special. There wasn't a lot of description so we weren't sure what to expect. It came in a large portion and the duck was battered & deep fried with crab sauce over. While it's not really what he was expecting it was tasty and filling. Fried rice that came with my lunch special was small with not a lot in it though it did have that tasty wok char flavour. Since I was having it with the black bean beef flavour was not a problem. His fried rice (full dish, as duck & crab does not come with rice) looked very attractive with ham, small prawns, diced veg. Emerald got their last chance last night. Ordered a take away pack number 2 with an extra small fried rice. When we opened both the fried rices we were immediately smacked with the smell of an ammonia urine smell, either the rice itself or the prawns were off. The front counter staff were reluctant to replace it and we were told it was fresh, so we spoke to the manager, they too could smell the urine rice so they did replace it and give a refund for the rice. Then we get back home to a cold meal.

We have eaten here 1-2 times a month for the last 10yrs from both the old and current location, however, the last few months has seen a dramatic decline in quality, we regularly get home to find that entrees are missing or are told it will be ready in 10 minutes but then wait another 40min in store.
