Moon Sushi — Restaurant in Wollongong City Council

This place has such a reputation but I truly had a horrible meal here. I got the spicey chicken sushi plate and it was so bad it was actually difficult to eat. I was starving and i'm not even a fussy eater but wow. Gross. They litterally smothered the entire meal with sauce. It was like the chef had poured half a jar of mayonaise over it and the chicken was smothered in a sickly sweet 'chilli' soy sauce. It was wretched. It was like eating plain sugar with no flavour. I couldnt taste any of the elements that makes sushi great. It was all sauce. I was hungry and I didn't even finish it. Honestly the worst sushi i've ever hard. I wouldn't even call it sushi. we just lovvveee this plc! our family is difficult to please in that we follow a really unusual nutrition plan....no animal products...no added oils.. no high fat plant food like avocadoes coconut or nuts...no high salt food like soy sauce...only whole grains, so no white rice And Moon Sushi cater to us EVERY TIME....as you can imagine we tend to avoid eating out normally as its apparently impossible to cater for us but Moon Sushi manage it...AND with a smile..EVERY SINGLE TIME.....they are great....all we have is black rice veggo sushi without the avocado...and they give us rice vinegar instead of soy sauce....mightnt sound that great to others but we truly appreciate being able to eat out like this and are very...

I feel like something has changed at Moon Sushi. I used to love it, but recently its bad. The last two times the rice was dry on the sushi. The seafood bento box today was so fishy tasting I couldn't eat it - and I have had it in the past and it was fine.

Today I had to ask for water twice (as did another table - and it was in a quiet period). I used to love Moon Sushi but something seems to have changed recently. Both times it was bad its happened on a Saturday at lunch.

I couldn't eat the seafood bento box and took it back. To be fair I wasn't charged for it. Instead I got a teriyaki chicken and avocado sushi roll which was just "ok". I left and had a bite of chocolate to get the taste out...
