The food is excellent (except the new Thai dumplings - chewy, not so great). The service has always been friendly until tonight (new staff, pretty poor job), but service is consistently substandard. Despite being a slow night and having arrived early, getting someone to come take our order and then receiving our food, took a horrendous amount of time. Drinks were brought to the table very quickly, but the non-screw cap top on the glass drink bottle was still on and it took a fair amount of effort on our part to get the guy to come back to us, he didn't understand what we were asking for, and the owner said she'd already told him multiple times tonight to open the drinks with a bottle opener. We have been here only a few times over the past two years, but they are consistently S.L.O.W. Take away orders they always promise 30minutes and over an hour later you're still waiting, every single time. WOW! i ordered takeaway here tonight on a recommendation from a mate, thanks Grant 😀. When you order from a new place. It's somewhat exciting and scary at the same time. A bit like kissing your new girlfriend for the first time. You can't wait to do it and your hoping it is what you expect and more. Also you both have to be compatible. So I am pleased to say thank you for kissing me Pai-Tong. Your Wanton Soup tradionally Chinese has made it to 3rd on my Wanton Soup List. The Larb (pork) had a good level of flavour and good the heat was just enough to warm my heart. Now the last thing was the Coconut Rice. OMG you know when you get more that you possibly could have expected, well the toasted bits if coconut through the rice made this complete. Terrible service!!! Waited at least 15 minutes until someone took our order whilst the table next to us got seated after us but they took their order first. The table next to us also got their food, ate and left just as we were finishing our starters which took a while to come out. We had to enquire on how far away our mains were after waiting another 40 minutes. It felt like teenagers were left to run the show with no proper management. Wasn’t really busy when we turned up so it shouldn’t have been that hard to know who was seated first and when people should have their dishes served.
