Visited today. Seems good but underwhelms.... The prices on the website are outdated. The in restaurant menu is more expensive throughout. Water - Reused water bottles (glass) it seems because they keep serving and are not charging for the bottles, also it's not carbonated or anything to suggest they are new bottles. My only concern is for washing, as I can't think of how to properly wash bottles with such a narrow opening in a restaurant especially when busy, but that is just my opinion. Malai Kofta - 18.50 - for 4 small koftas < 2cm each and a bowl of malai curry sauce. The koftas seemed pre-made, as they were stiff cutting through, lacking the warmth/ softness of ones that are fresh, and hardly enough for a one person dish. Given that malai koftas (vegetarian) are potato based, this was disappointing to see such small portioning. Presentation was good. Tasted alright. Mango Chicken - 18.90 - cooked in a mango pulp sauce, quite literally. Portion was more reasonable, you could actually have it as one person. The chicken seemed quite tenderized, perhaps from the mango sauce? There was less flavour as compared to other dishes. A very mild dish, but still tasted good. Lamb Madras - 19.50 - typical madras curry, but heavy on the cream/ butter. There were maybe 5-6 small chunks of lamb in a bowl. Again a very considerable amount of curry sauce compared to actual substance. There were no other veggies added to the curry. Tasted alright. Lamb was cooked appropriately around medium-to-well. Chicken Hyderabadi Biryani - 17.90 Well presented. Decent portion. Tasted good. The chicken was a tad dry given it was chicken breast, but otherwise a balanced dish. I couldn't appreciate what made it specifically Hyderabadi. The raita (cooling side of seasoned yogurt) served is rather minimal, really more of a drizzle than enough to actually be able to enjoy with the biryani. Also missing the grated cucumber (but that could be a regional variant). Garlic naan - 3.90 - stock standard, no complaints The servers are not wearing masks. Personally I think they should but that is a personal choice they make. If I got the pricing wrong by a few cents forgive me, but they are more accurate than the website. Bulli is a nice enough location. Most Indian restaurants serve an after-meal fennel seed mix to freshen your breath. I understand Covid means there is no communal bowl to serve it from, but a nice touch would be to serve it in a small bowl per table much similar to how they serve a small complimentary papad (thin-fried flat-bread). I think Shahi Aroma likely has what it takes, and can do much better. Hopefully it does. 1st star - clean, well set up restaurant 2nd star - the two servers are friendly and welcoming

Had chicken Madrasa, naan, rice and laknawabi shish kebab. Food was tasty and enjoyable, had a great service from the lady on the floor as well. Hats up to the lady trying to manage floor by herself on the busy Christmas day lunch. Her dedication alone will get 5 star but reviewing according to the overall experience. Was not able to order any mocktails or cocktails from the menu. The Beer that was served had already passed its best before date by 4 months. Plates that were used for service were chipped. Because of these downside, our overall experience was affected.

The service at Shahi Aroma is faultless, they aim to please and happily fulfil requests. Their entree tandoori selection is delicious, our favourite dish of the night. We especially liked their lamb kebab, chicken tikka and king prawns. The butter chicken was decent, it had depth of flavour and succulent chicken. The beef vindaloo was nice and spicy but was much too salty to be enjoyed.

The food was really good, it was fairly busy on a Saturday evening and the service was pretty good. We had two different kebab entrees and thw onion bhaji and it was all amazing. The mains were really large and the nann was beautiful and fresh. The staff asked how long we wanted between courses which was good. There was a bit of a delay being able to pay but I think this was because a few people left at once. My only criticism would be it lacked any atmosphere, the music was turned on just as we were leaving which...
