This was the worst Indian food I’ve had, unfortunately. Arrived at 6:10pm. Restaurant was pretty busy, most tables had customers sitting at them, most of them seemed like they had submitted their order. I was warned up front that there was a 45 min wait for food. I was OK with this, seeing as though this restaurant had pretty good reviews on google and my wife was craving Indian style food.

I ordered as take-away. I paid upfront: $64.80 For 2 dishes, 2 naans, 1 rice and 1 starter. 45 mins passed, I went inside, walked to the counter to be addressed with ‘what do you want?’ I explained that I’m here to pick up take away order. They went back to the kitchen to check on the status and said it would be another 10 mins - OK. I went back to my car and waited another 10 mins. Upon returning, the attendant started scrambling trying to find my order ticket. They found my ticket then started calculating on the calculator. I said I already paid to which the response was; “well, do you have the receipt?” As if they didn’t believe me. I said my transaction receipt was in the car and could go retrieve it if necessary. I ended up showing the transaction in my internet banking app as proof.

I was starving at this point. I got back to my wife. The food was legit dreadful. The beef dish was ordered as medium spicy. There was no spice at all. It was extraordinary watery. There was one piece of potato in it and a massive half of a tomato that took up a good part of the container. But the worst part of this dish was the beef. The meat was cubed. It was flavourless and rubbery. It was like eating airplane food. The butter chicken was average.

Combination of a poor customer experience, paired with bad food made me write this review.

They might’ve just been super busy, maybe the kitchen working to capacity - it was a Saturday after all. Unfortunately, this was the first and last time I’ll be visiting this restaurant.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately it’s come across as argumentative and not customer centric. The best way to deal with this sort of feedback is to acknowledge the experience, then look for ways to improve.

For example: Keep a record if I’ve paid or not - write it on the docket, or use a computer system to help.

I agree, Indian food is not fast food, and I love the cuisine. My local Indian restaurant cooks great Indian food. But in comparison - the experience I had at your restaurant was not good service, nor good food. Don’t cheap out on the beef or the way it’s cooked. Improve greetings, acknowledge the time I spent waiting. Unfortunately it was just a disappointment all-round.

Give me a reason to come back. Prove to me that my experience and food will be completely...

Could not pick lower than one star, sadly.

First off, told them a large group was coming - as in around 15 people - around an hour or two in advance. When we reached the restaurant, the owner had set the tables in a way that half the people would sit on one separate table to the other half. We managed to convince the owner to allow us to combine a bunch of tables which honestly, having to do that ourselves, should have clued us in on what we should expect.

After ordering food, our wait time was approximately two and half hours. During this time we went up to the counter mutliple times, and every single time the collective response was: “We’re very busy.” This we could begrudgingly accept if the restaurant was absolutely full, but another table - with also around 15 people - who had ordered 15 days earlier was still waiting for their own food. Not a single person with food served.

After much patience, the food was served, and we ate quickly and got ready to leave. Many of us went to the counter again to pay, and they had the audacity to question why we were putting down bad reviews. The owner refused to admit their mistakes and refused to acknowledge that they were in the wrong for not informing their customers of the hours long wait time.

If that wasn’t bad enough, one of the workers started personal attacks to us, having known some bits and pieces about our lives and line of work.

All in all, do not go unless you want a...

Where do we start, my partner is Vegan, and after 3 seperate phone calls to different people, they finally found someone who knew what the Vegan options were. We ordered a Vegan Saag, with added vegetables, a Butter Chicken, 2 Rohtis and rice. We were told the wait would be 45 minutes. We arrived around 50 minutes later, and had to wait over 10 minutes to get to the front counter. Once there it became apparent as to why such the long wait. The manager had lost our ticket, and was using 3 books of paper tickets, stuffing them under the till and on the floor trying to keep on top of the orders. We were then asked to come back 5 to 7 minutes later, and finally received our meal over 1 hour and 10 minutes from the original phone call. The food was fairly good, not oily and plenty of meat in the butter chicken. However the service was absolutely abominable. See if you can spot what maybe out of place in the photo below.

Hey guys, today I visited this restaurant as I came from Brisbane to visit few places around. I ordered panner tikka masala there was only 4 piece of panner in whole plate which doesn’t have any salt and panner was not even cooked as we are from india and we have been to so many restaurants in Brisbane and around but haven’t got this kind of panner tikka. It’s the worst. The lemon they gave was totally dry. I think that was two days old according to my calculations as I’m also a chef I can see what’s wrong. Rest everything was good but not up to the mark. Won’t be coming again to this rest…….! 👎🏻
