THE VINDALOO MADE EVERY TASTE BUD IN MY MOUTH, COME TOGETHER IN A JOYOUS SYMPHONY OF HAPPINESS!! The service at Indian Fusion is standard. Not great but not bad either. Just standard… The Indian gentleman at front of house is pleasant and runs the show well. The servers are a bit ‘hit and miss’. They seem to go through a lot of waitresses (which I suspect is due to most of them being pretty ordinary at their job)… They take your order and get the food to the table. Just don’t expect to be wow’d by their great personality or love of their job because you’ll be disappointed. The restaurant is in a fairly good location and has some beautiful views back in towards Maclean. It is also 50 metres from the Yamba lighthouse so if you like a short stroll after dinner, you’re in for a treat. The restaurant is clean, has a well stocked bar and clean bathrooms, but could do with a bit of music to improve ambiance. However…. the 3 stars I gave for their lack of talent in the waitress department , isn’t even an issue when you taste the food!! I am a curry fanatic and I rate their lamb vindaloo as one of the best I have ever tasted. The gravy is rich and perfectly balanced. The tandoori chicken is delicious and the naans are light and fluffy. I cannot speak highly enough of the food at Indian fusion and would recommend it to anyone without hesitation. Take away solves the waitress problem and the food is just as good, if not better when you get it home!! Seriously folks, if you love Indian, you need to go to this place. Ganesh himself had blessed the chefs at Indian Fusion with an extraordinary amount of talent, and again, I cannot rate their food highly enough. I have eaten food from Indian fusion on a weekly basis for years now and intend to do so for a long,...
Read moreTook my wife and family to this restaurant for my wife's birthday. We arrived at 7:30pm the Waitress we had was lovely. We ordered drinks and meals, my wife ordered a margarita but it was watered down or they forgot to put alcohol in it. Took it back, got a new one which was fine. Waited and 45min for our tapas to come out then another one came out 20 Min after that, why wouldn't you bring them at the same time, We saw the Waitress end there shifts and everyone else was on their mains. It looked like which we believed to be the owner as the bar man and now the waiter run around to serve everyone in the restaurant, i guess to save some coin. After an hr we finally got our daughters kids meal, fish fingers and chips which looked like it came out coles frozen pack. So 8:50pm almost 1.5 hrs later our meals finally came out and the place says it closes at 9pm, most people are starting to leave, The food was nice, but by then we were over it, the atmosphere had changed at the table and we were ready to go home. Very poor service, then i get stung $236 Told the owner food was nice but il never be back again, very...
Read moreDo yourself a favour and go somewhere else. I’ll start with the positives (there’s only one, hence the one star) - lovely waitresses - attentive and very prompt. Negatives - the food. We got the seafood ‘banquet for 2’ and it was overpriced, overcooked and bland. The prawns were pathetic. No flavour to the sauce at all. The scallops was the most disgusting dish I have ever had. Over cooked scallops served swimming in melted cheese. That’s it. No flavouring, nothing. It was at this point we asked to leave. Didn’t want to wait for the mains, was happy to pay just get out of there. They offered us the curry (butter chicken), rice and naan bread as takeaway. Wish we had just left it there. Butter chicken was again bland, garlic naan bread also had no flavour. Rice was fine. All in all this is one of the worst meals we...
