During our stay in Uluru, we ate here 3 times. So why come back? It was convenient and bettter than other options. So this review is a combination of all our meals. To start the food was okay. The veggie burger was a great choice. You can substitute the vegan cheese for real cheese if you want. Lots of the kids menu items are served with LOTS of cheese and cheesy sauce. The chicken was terrible. In the 2 chicken dishes we had, they were dry and flavorless. Okay, now the service. It was terrible. There is no set entrance or sign saying for you to pick your seating. They take forever to come and take your order. And on multiple occasions a group who came in after us received the same dish as us first! One waiter took our order, and came to confirm a substitution we made. Though then when she served our food she went around to every table asking whose it was. Lastly the atmosphere, it was not bad or good. The high top chairs were uncomfortable. The noise was shared with the hotel lobby. A few times birds flew through...
Read moreChicken curry - well presented, al the bits and pieces were there. But individual item were lacking the right balance. Pickles well too salty but combined with the bland curry chicken then okay. Jasmine Rice was nicely cooked. I won't call it a Curry with no heat or slightlteat kick in it, IF with some heat and salt it would be a great dish. The meat was well seasoned and tendered. Yoghurt dressing - could use more mints, but without the curry being spicy, can't see the need for that. Pallateble dish with potentially a great dish with tiny tweaks.
Papaya salad with Prawns taaty bits -prawns , lychees bland no taste - papaya salad itself with few slices of cucumber -- asked for one lime, sugar and cut chilli = made my own source then that's a papaya salad Would skip the bean sprouts - just add on the blandness of the whole dish
Portions size were all generous
Note: the coffee and hot chocolate were fantastic so...
Read moreThis place was really poor. First we weren't acknowledged when we rocked up which should have been the first sign. Next the waitress didn't take a drinks order. The food took a long time to come out considering the place wasn't busy. The meals were expensive for the quality of the food and there is much better places in the resort. The food had no real flavour. I had the tandoori sliders. Very average. My friend had the fish which was probably cooked two or three times as it was drier than the NT desert. The salad was badly wilted with signs of black. This place was absolutely disgusting. We were never approached to ask how our meals were. Avoid at any cost!!! For the price they charged and for the quality of other places we have been too. I expected much better.
Upon speaking to the waitress on the quality she just smiled and said sorry. There was no I'll speak to the manager or we will compensate you...
