Given the dismal food quality at most of the non-fancy places, this was a welcome surprise. It also offered a much wider selection than the airport location. The staff were friendly. The flat white was good, and not too inflated in cost given that it's literally the only coffee shop for hundreds of miles. The local tomato scone was literally the best food item I had in Yulara--dense and probably filled with butter, crumbly, and they toasted it. It's a nice setting, with floor to ceiling Windows and a good spot on the town square. There's probably not quite enough seating, but they don't rush people out, which is nice. They also have a good mission, which is also nice. This location has a bunch of savory pies and milkshakes, unlike the...

Visited the cafe at around 9:30 am on Saturday 15 June . The place was busy and not providing table service. Great to see indigenous people working in the service industry, but how long will they remain in the workforce before they decide it is all too hard. There were only 4 working to provide service to a customer inflow of around 4 per minute. The young trainee on the till was dealing with failed debit card payments, the nuances of language and eating dislikes of people from Japan/France and elsewhere. There seemed to be an air of frustration from all staff from behind the counter. Perhaps those running the training program should focus on keeping the staff adequately supported and trained rather than the P&L...

Generally, I find the food selections at cafés very poor. So going into this, I did not have high expectations. Boy was I wrong. Do yourself a favor and get yourself a chicken and cheese quesadilla. It is by far the best Mexican food in mainland Australia. I ate a whole order in under 15 minutes; I couldn't get enough. It was really affordable considering the location and the quality. Additional items of note are the customizability of sandwiches, the option of a thickshake (or an American milkshake) in many flavors, and good hours compared to the other nearby restaurants, being the only restaurant open in the 2:30 to 5:00 time slot at the resort. Bottom line: best Mexican in mainland Australia, good prices, and...

Kulata academy- a great trading cafe for the local indigenous. The coffee was the best we found in the resort and as such a huge queue each morning to grab a brew Whilst it was the best in the venue - I wasn’t a fan of the local roast The service was fantastic even though the queue was rather long each day The staff friendly and happy Be early to beat the long lines The venue is apart of the hotel complex and supports and trains. The staff were eager and attentive The coffee has been regular and of a good standard Save the time searching- for those needing a regular caffeine hit - this is your destination

I liked how there were Indigenous teens and young people working here. The initial service was really good and the staff working seemed to be okay and good at their jobs. There were quite a lot of food options available to suit different tastes, and quite unique options too. However, there were a couple of issues when we were there. A couple of people were given the wrong order/ the food wasn’t toasted/ warm when the person requested it, or the food took really long to come (probably got given to someone else). Overall, the food was decent but a variety of issues reduced the quality of the experience a bit.

A more affordable option for this price inflated desert. I understand everything must be imported into this place, but some bites are worth the prices more than others. This place fits the bill where you can get decent sandwiches and the coffee is stellar. After our excursions it’s the only place that’s open in those odd hours of too late for breakfast and too early for lunch. What draws us to this place is the coffee. The beans are good and the baristas know how to brew the cup of joe for you. The staff are attentive and are eager apprentices for their hospitality training. A gem cafe in the outback.
