We visited Arnguli twice as we have a lovely dining experience the first time. On our second visit there, we had the same waitress, her name was something along the lines of Hinomi, and on that occasion she was not particularly friendly or cordial. On our first visit, she checked in on us a few times, asked how the food was, asked about our time in Yulara. On the second visit, she did not greet us when she came to our table, she immediately asked us if we were ready to order. We felt a bit put off by that, she had obviously recognized us as we were only there two days prior. During our dining experience, she only came around once to ask how the food was. My partner ordered the filet and requested it to be medium rare, it was medium well. He had told her it was medium well, but it was ok. She asked if he wanted it taken back to cooked more, we said no...It was too cooked.... She didn't quite understand, but she apologized for it. When she handed us the check, we paid in cash and she came over and opened up the booklet and counted each bill and coin in front of us... I personally felt that was over the top and rude. We've never had wait staff count out each bill in front of us, we felt as if she did not trust that we would pay the correct amount. We paid by debit card last time and there was no issue. Anytime we've paid in cash, the wait staff always ask if it was ok to take it or if we needed change from it. It was off-putting. The thank you dessert at the end of the meal was also terrible. The previous night, it was lovely, but on the second visit, you could tell it was leftover from the night before, it certainly wasn't fresh. You would expect paying that much money to dine there, the dessert would be fresh. We certainly won't...
Read moreI celebrated my birthday (May 11) at Arnguli Grill & Restaurant, and it became one of the most heartwarming and memorable moments of my trip to Uluru.
I had brought a birthday cake with me, but unfortunately it got a bit damaged during the journey. I asked the staff if they could possibly help — and to my surprise, they warmly agreed without hesitation. They carefully placed a Happy Birthday chocolate plaque over the broken part and even sang me happy birthday at the table. That small act of kindness meant the world to me and completely lifted my spirits. 🥹🎂
Beyond that, the food was absolutely delicious — every dish was beautifully cooked and full of flavor — and the service throughout the night was impeccable. You could feel genuine care from everyone working there.
Thank you to the wonderful team at Arnguli for your warmth, generosity, and attention to detail. You turned my birthday night in the heart of Australia into something truly...

After delayed flights and arriving at Uluru late, we just wanted to eat and get some sleep. We were staying at Sails – which I’ll write a separate review about shortly – and didn’t want the full buffet dinner so someone suggested the Arnguli Grill & Restaurant and we are SO glad they did.
We had a later sitting – around 8pm - but it was still quite busy. The staff were amazing – super friendly and very attentive throughout the night, despite being clearly busy.
Now, I’m not the kind of guy who photographs food but this food was amazing and beautifully presented! I had the beef skewer for entree – which was served across a bone – super tender and SO tasty. Then the duck for main which was equally incredible.
It’s not cheap – but nothing at Uluru is – so skip the buffet at Sails and come here instead – you will NOT be...
