Eden's Pub — Restaurant in Bad Gastein

As an Irish person, I can safely say, that this is the worst 'Irish' bar, that I've ever been to. Where do I start? The first insult is the shots list, emblazoned on the bar's chalkboard: patrons from Ireland are subjected to an insensitive reference to The Northern Ireland troubles, where hundreds of people lost their lives, desperately fighting for independence against British rule: patrons can drink an Irish Car Bomb to salute the horrors of that dark time in Ireland's chequered past. Perhaps less historically informed guests will ignore this slight and look across the bar at the picture of the Queen and wonder what in God's name is going on in this bar-it's a tavern of offence.

If you are thinking about ordering a gin and tonic, be careful, they consider Bombay Saphire a premium gin, so when you get your receipt, don't get a shock, when you see it's €14.50, not €8.50-the price of their 'regular' gin and tonic, which I assume has Gordan's in it. Don't try and discuss this devious gin pricing policy with the staff, as they'll accuse you of being contrary and that you've ruined their night; a strange customer care philosophy indeed. I could go on, but my thumbs are sore from typing. In brief, there are many other bars in Bad Gastein, where I suggest you should go to, instead of this awful 'Irish bar.' I can guarantee the owner is not even close to being from the Emerald Isle. Avoid...
