My Fresh Point — Restaurant in Gmunden

It's not that great and obviously more of a tourist trap than anything. I only had dinner here as other restaurants were closed on a holiday, and it just wasn't a proper Asian restaurant. The food (I had the Thai curry) was mediocre and the ambiance was... off-putting. Very touristy with pop music constantly playing in the background. Not a great place to dine. The only nice part about it is the location on the lakeshore. Service was okay, but nothing to write home about.

All in all, this would've probably deserved 3 stars, but the prices, especially for the drinks, just do not seem justified to me for what you're getting (0.75L mineral water costs almost 8€ at the time of writing!). I don't regret going here, but this was definitely...

Wir kamen um 20:00 Uhr ins Restaurant (es hat bis 21:00 Uhr geöffnet) mit dem einfachen Wunsch, draußen zu sitzen, etwas zu trinken und die Aussicht zu genießen. Statt eines schönen Abends haben wir jedoch einen schockierenden Umgang erlebt.

Die Kellnerin, die meinte, sie arbeite „alleine“, weigerte sich, uns draußen zu bedienen – obwohl fast keine Gäste da waren und genügend freie Plätze vorhanden waren. Als wir beschlossen, die Getränke drinnen zu holen und uns damit draußen hinzusetzen, wurden wir mit einer Welle von Unhöflichkeit und Grobheit konfrontiert – nicht nur von der Kellnerin, sondern auch von einem Mann, der sich als Chef vorstellte.

Man sprach mit uns aggressiv, ohne jegliche Höflichkeit, und am Ende begann die Kellnerin sogar zu schreien und warf uns einfach aus dem Restaurant hinaus! Und das alles vor den Augen unseres kleinen Kindes. Absoluter Respektlosigkeit, Unprofessionalität und skandalöses Verhalten des Personals!

Ein solches Lokal hat kein Recht, sich Restaurant zu nennen. Es ist eine Schande für Gmunden und für die Gastronomie im Allgemeinen. Anstelle von Gastfreundschaft bekommt man hier nur Unhöflichkeit, anstelle von Service – Schreie und Demütigung.

So eine „Bude“ sollte wirklich geschlossen werden, damit Touristen und Einwohner der Stadt nicht mehr mit so einem Horror konfrontiert werden. Ich kann es absolut...

We’re glad we tried this place. The food was fast, hot, and my husband and I agreed it was good. We had the chicken fried rice and the orange chicken. The waitress was really helpful since we did not speak German and it was a very pleasant experience. My only recommendation is that they re-write the English menu as it’s very confusing for English speakers but it’s very hard to complain when they are being so...
