Airea 55 — Restaurant in Graz

The Airea 55 located on the rooftop of the Shopping Center CITYPARK is a great place to soak up the sun on the rooftop terrace, with great food and friendly staff. The Airea 55 is part of a restaurant chain within Graz, to which many restaurants of the student's life belong, to serve the students with food ranging from pizza and pasta over sandwiches to burgers and all sorts of pans. The view over the entire city is marvelous and the seating is comfortable with many sofa chairs. And as part of the restaurant, which is based on the Bausatz system, German for 'assembly kit', through which you can get a certain dish as basis, a pan or a pizza as you will, and then you make your crosses on menu lists, you choose your toppings or ingredients from. That's the Bausatz-System, you better get used to, since large parts of the student's life of Graz is organized according to that at least culinary-wise, as there are many restaurants affiliated to this restaurant chain across the city and even in Vienna.

Is another Bausatzlokal (here you can assemble your own burger or pizza), but little visited in the evening. It is located in a shopping mall. The food is better in other Bausatzlokalen. Did not seem as clean in the evening and the exit at night is not well marked. This places closes early (10pm) and has hardly any people after shopping is over. So not the best place to...

The “Area 51” is located on the highest floor of the CITYPARK and has access to a sufficiently large terrace with nice city and mountains view. We ordered cappuccino that was made from really tasty coffee beans and had pretty much of milk foam on top. The staff was really nice, friendly and helpful. I will definitely come back to try some food over here....
