Swing Kitchen — Restaurant in Graz

I've been a loyal customer of Swing Kitchen since they opened in Graz, but after my experience this past weekend, I won’t be returning.

On my first visit, I ordered a Swing Burger and the Loaded Guacamole Fries. The fries were okay, but the burger was disappointing. The BBQ sauce tasted completely different—definitely not in a good way. It felt like a downgrade from the original recipe I used to enjoy.

Still hopeful, I gave it another shot and ordered the Honney Chicken Classic with Truffle Fries from the new menu. I picked it up in person to avoid any issues with delivery. Unfortunately, the chicken in the sandwich was still frozen!!!!! and the bun was cold. I had to throw it away.

As for the Truffle Fries: I requested them without vegan cheese (since I don’t like the taste), but instead received fries topped with vegan cheddar instead of the advertised parmesan. There was no trace of truffle flavor whatsoever. Later I saw online that they were out of Truffle Fries—maybe they substituted with something else without informing me? Whatever it was, the result was a soggy, mushy mess of bland fries, white sauce, plasticy vegan cheese, and lettuce—straight to the trash.

To top it off, I waited about 30 minutes for this disappointing takeaway order.

Really unfortunate to see such a drop in quality from a place...

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Years pass. Staff shift. Time flows. Swing Kitchen stays solid.

I’ve known this place for a long time, long enough to see faces come and go behind the counter, long enough to notice the ones who stayed. And in all that time, not once — not even close to once — have I walked into Swing Kitchen and found it anything but spotless, friendly, and in full command of the storm.

Whether it’s packed to the brim or quiet in the afternoon, the team moves like clockwork. Calm under pressure, fast without panic, always kind. The vibe is light, the music good, the tables clean — and the food? Still one of the best arguments for going vegan in this city.

The place is big and they have seats inside and outside. Staff the one who was serving was nice and kind which I appreciate and lost of the four stars go on her smiles and work and being gentle.
