Auhof...Wirtshaus & Suiten — Restaurant in Kaprun

Had a wonderful stay for New Years week 2024/5. The staff were outstanding really did best to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Very family friendly and welcoming. |The checkin was quick and able to get dinner straight away which was delicious. Our kids wanted to eat here every day. Normally I would not like hotel food but this never disappointed. The lift pass was sorted so no queuing. The pass for Tauren Spa was there and used each evening that is about 10min walk or can get the free local bus. We enjoyed the walk. |To get to the ski lifts it’s just across the river. Lift up then a link lift up to glacier. If have non skier they can get all the way to the top on lifts and back down. |There are ski storage onsite or at the base of the lift has been reserved incase that is preferred. Really think of everything. |We chose to have the New Year’s gala dinner. There was a welcome drink outside then into resturant. There was a magician who came around to each table and then a show for the kids. The staff in the resturant were all friendly and knew our preferences which is lovely. |Breakfast was fresh and had all you would want. We did eat else where but then came back. |Second time in Kaprun. It is a great spot for family holiday....

We have already been to Austria 7 times on vacation in different places, because we are enchanted by the Austrian nature, cleanliness, order, which is everywhere. We stayed everywhere, even in a tent in a campsite, even in a luxury all-inclusive hotel... In Austria, you don't have to worry that it would be completely bad somewhere. As for this hotel, everything is as it should be. It really provides the services it advertises. There is no air conditioning, as some write in the reviews, but it is not written anywhere that it should be there either. The hotel does not deceive anyone. But what is not stated anywhere is that we have never met such a willingness of the owner, as in this case, anywhere in the whole world. We forgot the keys at night, we couldn't get into the hotel. We called the owner, and without the slightest sign of displeasure, he basically came to open the door at night, while he had to come from somewhere in his car. He was incredibly nice. If I were in his place, I would certainly not forgive myself for a negative comment. Since we have no other way to thank him, at least we put it in this review.
