Kitsch&Bitter — Restaurant in Kaprun

We visited Kitsch & Bitter after fancying dinner out and away from our hotel for the evening (which was right next door (Das Alpenhaus) We sat in the restaurant section which is a very nice place to be and has quite plush interior design! (Ignore the exterior of the restaurant as it resembled an amusement arcade) The service was excellent, prompt and friendly. The food was served very quickly and was yummy. Avoid. The place was completely empty after skiing which should have been a warning but the guy was very keen to usher us in. There was quite a bad smell, which should have been another warning … we ordered dessert & the sauce that came with it was rancid. No apology, they wanted to bring the dessert back without the sauce. The food here was seriously AMAZING ! ! My friends had pizza which was great, and incredibly delicious creamy garlic soup. I had a steak cooked medium from their menu, served with garlic bread and salad and two dipping sauces, and it was incredible ! Done exactly right pink-reddish in the middle, but tender and juicy.
