LOIS STERN Essen & Trinken OG — Restaurant in Kitzbühel

We had dinner twice at this lovely owner run restaurant during our trip to Austria in July 2024. This was the best dinner experience we had both in terms of food and service. We are vegetarians but they were great in accommodating all our dietary restrictions and the final product came our amazing with flavors of taste. This place is truly a gem and an ideal setting for a date night dinner experience. It is very personalized experience that we will not ever forget. The Chef is an outstanding food artist! Each and every meal we had was very thoughtful! The quality of the food was as good if not BETTER than many of the Michelin star restaurants we have been to! We cannot wait to visit...

We really enjoyed the food, especially the appetizers (sashimi and tempura that was just as good as what we've had at Michelin ⭐ Japenese restaurants!). Our main dishes were good, but personally we weren't amazed.

The location is very nice, it's quite small inside so a reservation is recommended. What we liked the most was watching the chef prepare the dishes all by himself, and he does this with a calmness that is quite impressive.

The only thing we didn't like was the service, we felt like we were bothering the staff when we arrived at the restaurant, but maybe this was just bad luck since the place was already crowded...

We were very pleased to have found this restaurant and they opened the door for us before official opening hours as they could see that we were ready for an aperitif. The young lady serving us was the friendliest and most enthusiastic server that I can recall in a long time! The food was excellent as well and the quiet and subtle atmosphere a treat after many noisy restaurants. A true gem in the Alps where most places are already a very high...
