Royal Bombay Palace Linz GmbH — Restaurant in Linz

Today on 7th September, we went there. We were 7 persons. Totally disappointed! We ordered 6 Dosas but got only 5. Never got mine and ultimately. I left the restaurant hungry without having lunch.

Last time we came here was in 2022. And it was really amazing. But now! Terrible. Will never go there again.

Here is the full story. When we took our places, one of the owners came to us and started promoting about their food. Rather than asking about us, it was full promotion and all about business. "You can eat this you can eat that". We ordered mostly orange Juices, Fresh lime Soda, Idly, Medu Vara and 6 Dosas. The waiter told that there will be 4 Medu varas per plate but the owner told it will be 3. Food so far was okayish! not superb. Not bad. then once again he started talking about some dish (Although we were only interested in Dosa only) and insisted us to take it. It was enough and I couldn't help asking whether he will serve this dish as complementary. He clearly said "No".

The Dosas came one by one after long delays. UNBELIEVABLE! Mine never came! The others of our group said that the Dosa was not at all impressive.

Then the owner told that he could offer the dish (which he was talking about earlier) as complementary. I said "no" this time. I left the restaurant hungry.

Once it was known as the best Indian Restaurant in Linz....

Last night felt like more than just dinner, it felt like a little journey back home.

Tucked into the warm ambience of this Indian restaurant, my family and I were greeted not just with smiles, but with soul. The kind of place where the spices speak, the Indian Bollywood music hums gently in the background, and the food feels like a love letter to every Indian kitchen.

What truly made the evening unforgettable was their gesture of offering us a taste of South Indian unplanned, generous, and oh so flavourful. Crispy, soft, tangy, spicy, it was a mini explosion of everything we didn’t know we were craving.

Every dish felt like a conversation, and every bite brought a memory. From the rich gravies to the warm breads, we were full… but somehow still didn’t want the night to end. To the team: thank you for the food, the warmth, and the experience. We came hungry and left with full hearts (and full tummies)😍😋

Highly, highly RECOMMEND, not just for the taste, but for the care that’s cooked into...
