Wintergarten — Restaurant in Politische Expositur Gröbming

After reading a negative review, I decided to try an alternate restaurant that my GPS found but appeared to be non existent, drove back into city center and Wintergarten was open, well lit and easy to park at. I walked in and was greeted promptly and with professionalism, asking for an English Menu which was given very quickly. I haven't yet found any restaurants in Austria that make the famous weinersnitzel with chicken. This one did to my surprise, a kin to Italy's chicken milanese. I ordered a salad that was delivered to my table in minutes and th most delicious dressing a top. My main course followed within minutes which some people may not like having just received my salad, but I was glad to eat both together. The server was named Nicolletta. She was outstanding, asking if I preferred a large or small soft drink when I ordered it. She was attentive and very good at her job. The other reviews I read mentioned a male, perhaps he was off tonight as Nicolletta was working alone and its April, so very sleepy ski resort town, no crowds although there were a few other tables with guests. This was one of the best milanese entrees I have ever had and that includes Italy last year where I thought it was great but tonight beat it. We stayed for a week in Wintergarten and even as a three star hotel it didn't fulfill our expectations...||Pros: Located near the center and bus and train stations, good separate room to dry your skiing boots, competitive price.||Cons: Practically no sound proofing in room doors, poor equipments in rooms, shower might suddenly turn cold, dirty mattresses and broken bed, really unstable wifi, dull and plain breakfast.||So if you do not require much out of your hotel, this might be one to consider.
