Restaurant Talbachschenke Schladming — Restaurant in Politische Expositur Gröbming

When I say this is some of the best food I have had in a long (!!!) time, I mean it! First of all, the atmosphere and coziness in Talbachschenke is amazing. It gives great Austrian vibes and you really get the feel of the fact that you are in a whole different culture that what you are used to. I had a steak with potatoes and an amazing sauce made from mushrooms. I also had some broccoli. It was incredible. The steak was perfectly cooked, the potatoes were soft but not too soft, the sauce was absolutely amazing and brought everything together. Note that this place is not cheap... It is however some of the best food you will ever get, and no doubt the best place in Schladming. No doubt. If you ever find yourself in Schladming, don't make the mistake by not eating here 'cause I promise you, tha you...

We had a reservation for 6, went with a dog and the waiter immediately started yellint at us, that dogs are not welcomed. Ok, we went back to the hotel, which took more than 30 minutes. My family wanted to wait for us but the waiter said they must order as the table is only for 2 hours. So we immediatly knew we can’t have appetizer, main course and dessert in peace. An unserem letzten Tag unseres Urlaubs in Schladming wollten mein Mann und ich gerne noch in Ruhe ein (oder vlt zwei) Bier in einer schönen Atmosphäre trinken. Das Lokal ist ganz in der Nähe unserer FW und hat uns seit dem ersten Tag gefallen. Zunächst haben wir gewartet um einen Tisch zugewiesen zu bekommen. Dann kam eine weibliche Servicekraft und hat gefragt was wir genau wollen. Wir haben gesagt wir würden gerne etwas trinken. Mit dem Hinweis: Das ist ein reines Speiselokal wurden wir eiskalt abgewiesen. Bei 3 leeren Tischen hätte ich nicht so unfreundlich reagiert. Der Urlaub in Schladming und viele seiner Lokale und Restaurants sind toll und kundenfreundlich! Ausgenommen dem Restaurant Talbachschenke - schade drum! 😞

Achja wir hatten einen Hund dabei! Ein Senior-Mops mit 15 Jahren. Ich habe jetzt mehrere Rezessionen gelesen, bei der Urlauber aufgrund des Hundes abgewiesen worden sind. Das war bei uns anscheinend nicht der Grund Lt Antwort des Inhabers auf eine Rezession vor etwa einem Monat sind Hunde in diesem Lokal seit einem vergangenem Sommer nicht erlaubt.
