We were a group of four to experience some fondue. 3/4 vegetarian, so we wanted to go for 2 cheese and 1 vegetarian fondues but we were told that each pot must be for 2 persons. Ok, we went for 2 and 2. Cheese fondue- the cheese mixture was quite grainy but nice and the add-ons were fine although the prosciutto was a lot. Vegetarian- vaguely a hotpot but you do not get a bowl or a spoon, so the soup portion is wasted. The veggies would not cook properly even after boiling for 10 minutes, and additionally to that we did not receive the promised sauces. When we shared our opinion on the meal, the chef was upset and promised to remove the dish altogether. The positive side was the waiter who was accommodating all of the tables alone and kept a smile on his face. Also, we had so much leftover potatoes, tofu and prosciutto that it fed 4 people the next morning. Summary: nice atmosphere and waiter. Avoid the veggie fondue and if you are 3 people, one cheese...
Read moreWe came with a group of 7 people and the dog 🐕. I have to say that we were all very happy with the service and the food. Also, they brought water for the dog. The buffet salad is reasonably enough. The cheese fondu was more than what we could eat. As we couldn't eat all the prosciutto and potatoes, we could ask to have a doggy bag 😉 I would just make a point on the cheese fondu. The mix was good but not the best. Something was missing but cannot put my finger on exactly what. The meat and mix fondue that we saw on the other table look amazing. Regarding the wine, good choices available and a reasonable price compare to the other restaurant we have been the previous days. Regarding the service, only good thing to say. Very smiling and friendly. Also, we all received a snaps buy posting a review on Tripadvisor. The snaps was better than the one in the supermarket 😉 In conclusion, worth...
Read moreTried the Fondue Topf Fleisch for the first time! They also offer cheese fondue without proteins, Fondue Fleisch & Fisch-Mix, and other options.
The portion for two was huge—we couldn’t even finish 3/4 of it. You can also enjoy the salad bar before starting your meal.
The meat fondue came with four types of protein (beef, veal, pork, and chicken), along with 6 different sauces, fries and seasoned baked potatoes (both refillable), a plate of vegetables, and a plate of fruits. It wasn’t too greasy but felt quite heavy.
Service was excellent, with a great attitude.
A reservation is a must, and you need to choose your fondue...
