GIGGI Tenne — Restaurant in Sölden

Service was friendly and professional, but the food was THE WORST I have had in many many months. I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but honestly I would have enjoyed flushing 30 1€ coins down the toilet more than eating here. We waited 1:20 hours for a SOUP. The garlic bread was a white baguette with garlic powder - served as cold as the snow outside. The second attempt at the garlic bread was delivered hot, but we couldn’t finish it. Maybe the food tastes better after drinking everything they offer? Don’t come here expecting to eat anything worth any money. Pity, because the wait staff were great and the bar itself...

Service and atmosphere was good, but the food was very disappointing. What was supposed to be authentic and traditional was bland and dry. I had the game ragout, the meat was small, over cooked and dry. The sauce had no flavour. My husband had the wild game plate, dumplings seemed old and the meat was mediocre. Wir hatten uns aufgrund der vielen positiven Bewertungen sehr auf unseren Besuch in Giggis Tenne gefreut. Leider wurde unser Aufenthalt durch eine äußerst unfreundliche und wenig einladende Behandlung überschattet.

Wir kamen direkt nach Öffnung des Lokals an und das Restaurant war bis zum Ende unseres Besuchs wenig frequentiert.

Als Familie mit Kleinkindern wissen wir, dass Besuche in Restaurants eine Herausforderung sein können. Dennoch erwarten wir ein Mindestmaß an Verständnis und Freundlichkeit – insbesondere, wenn wir uns bemühen, rücksichtsvoll zu sein. Stattdessen hatten wir das Gefühl, dass unsere Anwesenheit unerwünscht war. Kommentare, Augen verdrehen und ausgetauschte Blicke des Personals ließen uns sehr unwohl fühlen. So ein negatives Erlebnis haben wir noch nie beim auswärts Essen gemacht.

Das Essen war in Ordnung, aber die Atmosphäre hat uns den Genuss leider gründlich verdorben. Es ist schade, dass Familien offenbar nicht willkommen sind, denn ein wenig Empathie und Serviceorientierung hätten den Unterschied gemacht.

Wir hoffen, dass das Team sich überlegt, wie es in Zukunft mit Gästen – besonders Familien – umgeht. Leider können wir Giggis Tenne auf dieser Basis für einen Besuch mit Kleinkindern nicht...
