Werkstatt Sölden — Restaurant in Sölden

The restaurant looks like a typical American themed restaurant/bar. It was quite loud but it was also packed at 7:30 pm. My table ordered three burgers. They actually have really fancy burger variants, all in all the menu looks amazing. Sadly the food , while looking as amazing as the menu, wasn't the best quality. The burgers came after 10min, we didn't think about it until the first bite. The patty was cold or at most lukewarm, in all three burgers. Also it wasn't a fresh patty, it was pre-pressed maybe frozen meat. We returned the burgers and they came back, fresher after 15min. Now the warm burgers didn't taste that bad, but for 11€ I expect more than pressed meat.

On other tables we saw also that people didn't finish the meat, there were a lot of leftovers. One person on our table had a "Fitness Salad", it was quite big and actually ok.

Sadly not only the food was disappointing, the staff was also behaving weirdly. We had a polite waitress and there was no problem with her. Her two colleagues were rally loud. One of them was applauding some guests for what ever reason, while he was standing right in front of our table. All the time we were thinking these two guys were on cocaine or something.

All in all, I can't recommend that restaurant. They seem to count on hungry tourists and don't care about the quality...

Really brilliant restaurant for a relaxed, well cooked meal in Solden. Booking is essential if you want to go after 6pm but we managed to get in no problem for an early dinner around 5pm. They take huge parties of people, there were only 2 of us but we saw large parties of between 15-25 people. Even with such large groups the service was fast and efficient. We had a mixture (over 2 visits) of salads, schnitzel and burgers. All were delicious but seriously the burgers were amazing!! I had the "Matterhorn" which was a pork fillet burger and my Partner had the "Drivers Club" burger. They were mouthwatering-ly delicious!! If we'd been there for an extra day we would have gone here for a 3rd time. I also had the Lillet Berry Cocktail and my Partner had the Limencello cocktail - again very delicious. We went there as a group of six and were extremely disappointed with the quality of our burgers. The menu is very diverse but it seems that burgers are put on a pedestal so all of us ordered some. As the burgers arrived it was already visible that the quality was pretty low and the taste was then worse than the visual input. Frozen meat, which was cooked in a deep fryer and made sure for the meat to be very dry. The fries tasted like cardboard. They clearly were fried eralier in the evening and left somewhere to stay warm and be served anytime. As mentioned in the title this was most definitely the worst value for money burger I have ever eaten. This was fast food quality, tasting worse than any fast food, but with a price of around 20€ for a burger with fries. Special shameful mention for the 7€ side of sweet potato fries that were...
