We traveled all the way from Salzburg city, taking two buses, just to try Manoa Thai after hearing good things. Unfortunately, it was a complete letdown. The waiter was shockingly rude and unwelcoming. He forced us to order two dishes for two people – where is that even mentioned? We explained that we’re tourists and came a long way just for this, but he simply didn’t care.

Instead of showing even a bit of hospitality, he coldly said, “I cannot serve you. You can have takeaway.” No flexibility, no courtesy, just plain arrogance. The experience left a really bad taste – not from the food, but from the treatment.

Honestly, this felt like discrimination and outright unfriendliness towards tourists. Austria, you seriously need to work on how visitors are treated. Would never recommend this place based on how we were made to feel unwelcome and...

We had an amazing Thai lunch here, and the experience was just lovely. The hosts were incredibly sweet, and the place had such a positive vibe, with soothing music, green plants, and spotless cleanliness.

We started with Jasmine tea, which came in a big cup. The food portions are generous, so we skipped the starters and went straight for the main dishes. They offer a separate lunch menu that's a bit cheaper, but with fewer options (we didn’t see any pork dishes on it).

We ordered fried pork with rice and vegetables, which had a nice coconut flavor, and a green curry with rice and chicken. We asked for the food to be made Thai spicy, and it was perfectly done. At first, the pork seemed a bit salty, but as I kept eating, it just got better and better.

What a complete waste of time. We took TWO buses from Salzburg city just to try Manoa Thai, craving some decent Thai food – and were met with the rudest waiter I’ve ever come across. He flat-out refused to serve us unless we ordered two full dishes for two people. Where is that written? Nowhere.

We even told him we’re tourists who came all the way just to eat here, and he couldn’t care less. His response? “I can’t serve you. Takeaway only.” No empathy, no basic manners – just arrogant and dismissive. Absolutely pathetic.
