Bräukeller Seefeld — Restaurant in Seefeld in Tirol

We had an unfortunate dinner experience at Braükeller. We chose this restaurant based on the good reviews but were extremely disappointed at the poor quality of the food served at this restaurant.

First of all, the so-called “homemade pasta” was clearly not homemade. When we asked about it from the waiter it was clearly not the first time when questioned about the pasta’s home madeness. The waiter had to go all the way to the kitchen to figure it out, or to ask for the official party line - even though anyone could spot that it was just basic supermarket pasta. Finally the waiter admitted that it is not homemade - but not straight away and only after confrontation and re-reading together the menu. It was already suspicious how the pasta was brought to the table 5 mins after the order. Was it even boiled or just heated in the microwave?!

Secondly, the pasta was badly overdone. My 9-year-old son cooks better pasta with the right texture and even he manages to follow the cooking time instructions stated on the package.

Over 30€ per pasta portion that tastes like microwave meal is not even a joke. It is a disaster.

Unfortunately we were too hungry at this point of night that we didn’t have a chance not to eat it.

16€ for kids’ fish fingers and french fries straight from the supermarket freezer was just a pure shock. No words for that.

After confrontation, we did get offered a discount of 25% on the pasta portions but it was just a sad sad try. Not a decent apology from the waiter, nor anyone taking responsibility for the lie on the menu and the huge disappointment. Not even offering any extras like free desserts.

It states ‘fine dining’ in the sign at the door - but this was truly a joke. Ridiculously overpriced portions do not make fine dining, it is the quality of food and the overall experience. This was just a disappointing dinner à la microwave meal that was not worth for not even one third...

The service was stellar. They were polite and respectful. Unfortunately, the food had a critical error. Many people do not have an eye for the cuisine they order, but not me. I ordered a red beet and shiitake mushroom appetizer.

The combination of the beets with the bold umami flavor of the shiitake mushroom intrigued me. I was shocked when my dish arrived with regular mushrooms. Meaning the dish would not include the amazing woody umami flavors.

Customers trust that their chef serve them what they order and not to be shorted with cheap mushrooms. The kitchen assumed that it would pass unexpected eyes. At that moment, not only was I disappointed, I had lost all trust with the kitchen.

Even though it was missing a critical ingredient flavor, the chef feebly attempted to make my situation better by selling me a junk dish for some 25% off. I didn’t want it all if it didn’t come with what they promised.

It was my birthday and I didn’t want a scene. I ordered something else, scoffing at the rude gesture. I also made reservations sharing this information about my birthday, but no one mentioned it. It’s not like it was a busy night.

If this restaurant wants to maintain its reputation, it must be trustworthy, maintain its integrity, and provide all that they promise.

The steak and other items on the menu were good as far as my experience went from there.

The waiter was remarkably polite and helped me briefly forget that moment. At that point, I was content. Thank you.

I hope to come back next year with a kitchen better prepared for the level of service...

Braukeller Seefeld is truly an amazing place! The food was absolutely delicious 😋, offering a delightful culinary experience that satisfied every palate. The restaurant itself has a wonderfully cozy and calming atmosphere, making it the perfect spot to unwind. What truly stood out, however, was the wonderful service. The staff were incredibly attentive, and we particularly appreciated that our waiter was able to share some fascinating insights into the restaurant's rich history and background. It added another layer of appreciation to our visit! We were genuinely happy with everything we saw and tasted.
