Last week we ate at "Restaurant Südtiroler Stube" "THE WAITER HIT ME UNDER MY ARMPIT" A busy waiter with black hair and a beard pointed us in the corner after the entrance. While we were eating, the same waiter came with a pay terminal to the Italian guests, asking for tip money. Then they could press on this button, i already found that strange. You don't ask for tip money.
After we finished our moderate meal, we asked for the bill. The same waiter (immigrant worker with an black hair and a beard) came with the bill. After we have seen the price, we left 1 euro for the waiter. After all, he worked for us for less than 3 minutes in total. To our surprise, the waiter came back with the euro and said that this 1 euro tipping was an insult, that we give him 1 euro. And he give the money back.
We were horrified by such an rude, arrogant, and inhospitable answer. You never comment on what somebody gives, and you should be thankful for all you get extra beside your income. We were so discussed by his answer that we decided to leave immediately without finishing or last drinks.
When I confronted the 2 other waiters about this extreme rude incident of what the waiter with black hair and beard said to me. The two other waiters pretended that they could not speak any German, what???? I heard them speaking German to other guests, and now they lie to me and pretend that they can't speak any German. This offended me even more.
And i told them in English that you never have the right if somebody gives you something to say that giving is an insult. I explained to them that my customers usually don't give tip money, and you can't take tip money for granted. Some customers even give 0,50 cent, you should be thankful for everything you get for free, and you can take it or not. But you can't call giving money an insult.
The three waiters also came outside and 2 of them returned inside.
The immigrant waiter, who was the only one of the waiters outside (with black hair and a beard) became very aggressive. The other people where I was with talked to him try to get hem black into the restaurant, i walked away.
And then came the most horrifying part of this nightmare experience.
The immigrant waiter with black hair and a beard was still outside, and I was standing in the street. I didn't know that the immigrant waiter with black hair and a beard was still standing outside so I walked away to the street and this WAITER HIT ME UNDER MY ARMPIT.
I told him if you physically attacked me again he will be in big trouble , then he ran away.
I have been traveled all around the globe but i have never had such an HORRIFYING EXPERIENCE. Insulting guests and aggressively pushing for large tips. And when the guests says something about it, then this waiter physically...

Read moreThe restaurant was very nice, but unfortunately, the waitress was very rude!!! She took our order and sighed because she was in a hurry, saying the kitchen was closing at 9! The plates on the table had an embroidery on them, as a sign of their culture, which we thought we should remove to eat... unfortunately, the waitress took them away ostentatiously and rearranged them on our plates without explaining, while being visibly agitated!!! When we asked for clean plates for the main course, she seemed annoyed and only brought us 2 when we were 4!! When we left, visibly disappointed, we didn't want to leave a tip because of her rudeness, and the lady made many comments in her language!!! It's a shame, unfortunately, that the hospitality of a country is judged by...
