Gabriel's Cucina — Restaurant in Stadt Dornbirn

visited Gabriel’s Cucina in Dornbirn with high expectations, but was unfortunately disappointed by the service. When I asked for a Diet Coke and inquired whether they serve pizza, the waitress responded rudely and told me they are an “elite restaurant,” then directed me (in an unfriendly manner) to a pizzeria. I understand if pizza is not on the menu, but there are more respectful and welcoming ways to communicate with guests. Sadly, the attitude did not match the upscale image the restaurant...

Nice Italian with a good selection of wine and Italian style dishes.

All in all not completely my taste. I took the risotto with veal. The meat tasted a bit like liver, which I guess is due to there also being a liver dish on the menu and the seemingly the same pan being used.

The desserts (I tried the panna cotta and the yoghurt ice cream) were beautifully decorated, but again the taste was not overwhelmingly amazing.

I've been at Gabriel's twice. The first time I thought the food was amazing, but the second time I was even more astounded.

The hirschrücken was impressive - a generous portion of meat, cooked to perfection with delicious sides. I highly recommend it.

Dessert was above average, but I've had better. Still, it beats most competition.

All in all, food is superb, staff are friendly and the owner...
