Gasthof Lingg — Restaurant in Stadt Feldkirch

Had a very bad experience yesterday. After 5 hours of driving we choose the worst restaurant in Feldkirch 😭. The owner is a sweet talker and convinced us to eat fish. He said he comes from the seaside and has the best and fresh fish. The fish came full of scales. Not cleaned at all and one bit was enough. Had a very fishy taste. We didn’t eat it. Then we asked the manager and he said he hasn’t had a complaint in 2 years and we know nothing about fish. I am a Swiss Hotel Management Professional with 25 years in Gastro consulting. So we told ok. And paid the full amount of 110 euro and left. Lesson learned 😊 Next time check Google and TripAdvisor before going to a restaurant. !!! My husband and I had a lovely dining experience at Gasthof Lingg. Their Italian kitchen is truly a delight! We enjoyed a freshly made spaghetti carbonara and a delicious calzone, both cooked to order. It was great to see the food being prepared, adding to the authenticity of the experience.

Although we reserved, the restaurant could not find out reservation. But lucky enough they found us a table. We waited one hour to be served our starters (simple soup and bread), but they did serve us within five minutes of asking them where our food was after the first hour passed.
