illvy restaurant | bar — Restaurant in Stadt Feldkirch

We were passing by this restaurant in the Feldkirch centrum while searching for some nice place to eat. we came around 8:45 pm, asked for a place and were seated waiter came after few minutes and asked a bit rudely what we want to drink (no menu on the tables, no menu offered). Being a bit surprised by this attitude we asked for a menu he brought only the drink menu (left immediately) and came back few minutes later, we ordered the drinks* and asked for the food menu, because that was what we’ve been expecting from the very beginning… we were said they are not cooking after 9pm. He offered us fries or toast. Shocked and too tired to search for another place, we gave up on a dinner idea and ordered a toast (was 9.03 pm) *regarding to drinks, while ordering I asked directly if they have a fresh squeezed orange juice and waiter said sure we have, so I ordered one. For 5,80 EUR/glass I got an average pulp juice from the box having nothing to do with a fresh squeezed orange. while we’ve been refused to get a food menu other guest have been even later still ordering some food items from the menu! Lovely place in charming location. We were visiting Liechtenstein in summer 2023 and I said to missus 'Let's go to Austria for a wiener schnitzel'. So we drove to Feldkirch, found a parking and went on in search for a perfect schnitzel. And oh boy, we weren't dissapointed. Place looked really cosy, using my halting german I asked for a table and staff were very patient and friendly. Lady even offered tomato pasta for our 7yo boy. Starter was to die for, breaded salmon bits with potato salad came even though we didn't order it. Schnitzel portions were big enough to feed a platoon of hungry british soldiers :D Crumbly on the outside yet juicy inside. For two mains with starters, pasta for the boy (he loved it), beer, aperol spritz and a coke we paid around 75 euros which I think is very fair price. Staff friendly and helpful throughout. Definitely recomendind this...

Wonderful restaurant in the beautiful city centre. We were welcomed with a warm smile. The waiter came up with the perfect suggestion for drinks. The Prosecco rosé is both original and tasty.

Excellent special suggestions outside the menu. We recommend the soups with homemade bread. A treat!

Small menu, excellent food, great wine. A definite good pick in Feldkirch. We stopped there by chance on a stopover to the Dolomites. And went there again on our return...
