Unfortunately, it wasn’t quite what we expected. We ordered a cheeseburger, a spicy salami pizza, and pasta (casarecce with bell peppers and veal) to see what all the hype was about. It’s not bad food, but it isn’t particularly impressive either. The pasta wasn’t cooked properly and stuck together in large, doughy clumps. What they referred to as “casarecce” was essentially just cut-up pieces of pappardelle. The cream or whatever was used in the sauce had curdled, which shouldn’t happen. The veal was gristly and tough, though the quality itself wasn’t poor. Unfortunately, the flavor fell flat as well.
There’s really nothing negative to say about the burger, other than it being a bit under-seasoned. The fact that the burger patty was homemade was a nice touch. As for the pizza, I didn’t quite understand the hype around it being the “best Italian pizza,” as some reviews claim. It doesn’t resemble authentic Italian pizza much; it tastes okay but lacks depth. The spicy salami, however, was excellent!
