Bäckerei Schwarz - Grinzing — Restaurant in Vienna

The story of this ca. 100 years old bakery is very interesting! It's a family business, and one of the few bakeries in Vienna that bakes completely from scratch, as opposed to baking fresh from frozen like most of the others, and one can really taste the difference.

There is a slight difference in the price, but it's totally worth it!

I have been in the Grinzig branch when we weren't in lockdown, and can absolutely recommend sitting down for the afternoon Jause, with coffee served in real China, with the glass of water and the mini cookie, with an apfelstrudel or the day's special before continuing your 19th...

Good coffee and pastries, nice lady at the counter. However, an overall experience was a bit spoiled when we saw the final bill with completely different prices than we saw on display (coffee was twice more expensive for instance). Seems like prices depend on whether you dine in or take out. We tried few other places in the same district (like konditerei down the street) and it didn’t have...

Habe für einen Geburtstag eine Torte vorbestellt.

Entweder war die Torte falsch gelagert, oder zu lange tiefgefroren.

Der Boden der Malakofftorte war nicht weich, oder fluffig, sondern bröselte regelrecht beim Anschneiden.

Beim Geschmack war der Boden auch sehr trocken bis zäh.

In der Creme waren Klumpen, vielleicht zu stark gekühlt, dass die Masse bereits anfror.

Für den Preis sollte, oder darf das eigentlich nicht passieren.

Also wir kaufen unsere Torten dort nicht mehr, denn es gibt nicht Schlimmeres, wenn man wem mit so einer Torte überraschen will und diese einfach nur eine...
