Chutney — Restaurant in Vienna

The Lady at the counter is terribly unfriendly. I ordered 1 chicken madaras and 1 beef Curry. Additionally I asked for 2 naan bread. She asked me if I want it as a menu. I asked her if drinks are included in the menu and she replied yes. So I went for it. Afterwards she added chili even tho I asked her NOT to add it and she tried to pick them out and said..."ususally its always a bit spicy" I thought "well..mistakes can happen". When I paid I saw that the drinks were charged as well so I went back and asked her why I had to pay extra for the drinks even tho its in the menu. Her voice started rising trying to find an excuse. I dont understand what the difference is of you take a menu or order everything seperately. I guess its just a scam. I wouldnt have ordered extra drinks if it would not be included in the "menu". Very unfriendly woman at the counter. Not recommending it so anyone to go there. I definitely not go...

Leider muss ich von meiner jüngsten Erfahrung mit einem indischen Restaurant berichten, welche alles andere als zufriedenstellend war. Das angebliche "Chicken Curry" entpuppte sich als eine traurige Darbietung geschmackloser Inhaltsstoffe. Der überwiegende Teil der Mahlzeit bestand aus Reis und Champignons, die in ihrer Einfallslosigkeit zu schwimmen schienen. Das eigentliche Highlight, das Hühnchen, war kaum mehr als eine flüchtige Erscheinung in der Box, so spärlich, dass man es fast mit der Lupe suchen musste. Statt der erwarteten farbenfrohen und appetitlichen Anrichtung eines typisch indischen Currys, wurde mir ein Anblick geboten, der eher an eine lieblos zusammengewürfelte Kantineerinnerung als an eine kulinarische Köstlichkeit erinnerte. Es fehlte an Qualität, Geschmack und Sorgfalt, sowohl in der Zubereitung als auch in der Präsentation. Für jemanden, der die reichen und vielfältigen Aromen der indischen Küche zu schätzen weiß, war dies eine Erfahrung, die ich lieber vergessen möchte. Ich kann nur hoffen, dass das Restaurant sein Angebot überdenkt und sich bemüht, in Zukunft bessere kulinarische...

We stayed for three days in Vienna,two days we ordered food from chutney and the staff was quite helpful till then...the third day when I ordered and later on asked about why she mixed rice with palak paneer...the lady who could speak hindi replied rude ....later on I ate from somewhere else.staff should always be polite no matter what the...
