Since when do you have to be absolutely useless to get hired by Mediamarkt? I understand it's nobody's dream job but I remember a time where you'd go to Mediamarkt and could get solid advice on almost all the products they sell. Audio guy knew some additional stuff for his field that may have even heleped you beyond your requests. Every department was like that, you felt like the people know the stuff they sell. For the last two years every time I step foot in a Mediamarkt it's basically better to run them without personal. I have on multiple occasions asked for a product("looking for a light with an integrated sensor to switch on when it detects motion like for entrances and stuff" for example), got told "Ah, know what you mean but we don't have that here.", just to find the product I was looking a few minutes later myself. Not once but 3-5 times over that last two years which is insane to me. Today I try to buy an extender that is sold for 70 according to the tag next to it, register says 107. I ask to check, the girl from the register convinces herself it's 70 and then tells me she can't do anything here, a price change is not doable and she has to see if a colleague is still around to do that. She also doesn't leave the cashier again so she is looking for a colleague from exactly where we stand and unfortunately no one shows up. She then asks me if I need it today. Not a manager, not owning my own business so what do I know but it appears to me if I earn money selling stuff to people, I should try to sell stuff to people instead of telling them we don't have it or "yeah but do you really need that?"
Going to the person who could possibly change the price, making my case. There are two of them, one starts scanning my item and blurts out the price it used to be. The chubbier of them both then tells me with the conviction of a true believer "That's the price". It's not chubbo, lift your behind to the box an isle over and look at the price. I don't know much about presenting oneself as all-knowing and authoritative to others but it seems to me if you want to bark at customers with the authority of a teacher, maybe try and be right every now and then? So disappointed by the brand and the individuals at this particular market, do...
Read moreI have never dealt with more inept staff at an electronics store in my life. Don't go there. Don't order online. Just stay away.
I pre-ordered an item online which was due on a Friday, to be picked up at this location. It did not come on time. Finally by Tuesday I get an email to go pick up the order. Unfortunately by then, I cannot go myself. Luckily, the confirmation email clearly states "You will only have to show show the confirmation email" - awesome! So I sent my boyfriend to go pick it up for me with an email FORWARDED FROM THE ACCOUNT LINKED TO SATURN ACCOUNT with a consent message - a perfect digital signature! Unfortunately, not for the staff at Millennium. The staff are so inept that they cannot grasp that there is no way for him to have an email, from the account linked to my Saturn account, consenting that he, and only he pick up the package unless I had written this. They demanded that he come back with MY ID (so a stranger off the street could find my wallet and do the same) and a consent paper (which literally anyone can forge). An extremely secure digital solution was no good for them. I called customer service who was able to confirm my identity, who tried to call them to confirm that I consented. Apparently, the Saturn Wien Millennium staff were not answering the phone. I am appalled at how hard it is to contact Saturn Millennium City remotely, at how they disrespect their customers spending their hard earned money, and above all that a multitude of employees at an electronics shop know so little about technology.
For your sake,...
Read moreCame here to buy myself a wireless office keyboard. I bought it and it came without a usb port, had to drive back to get my money, waited 15 minutes until i was able to request a refound, waited 10 more minutes to get my money because only one register was open in a shop full of people. Went in the keyboard section to buy myself a new keyboard, asked for help to find one, a guy cut in front of me while i was talking to one of the staff and the staff just helped him instead of helping me and told me to wait here for him to come back. I waited and waited then i saw him help someone else, and then another person. After 20 minutes of waiting i called him over and he didnt even mention the fact that he hadn't came to help me, rudely told me that the keyboard that im looking for isn't in stock anymore and then left. Very bad service, i got sold a non functional product and waited for around a hour in that store, never coming...
