Once they get over the fact that they routinely put booze in their ice cream, and stop ooh-ing about the sheer size of those "Coupes", they will enjoy the creamy, rich, decadent offerings, usually mixed with fruits, candy, chocolate, and toppings. Of course, you can also try the unique "eisknoedel", something like an italian tartuffo, a ball of ice coated in chopped nuts with a heart of apricots, the local specialty (these are call Eismarillenknoedeln) or hazelnut and chocolate, etc. They also have simple children's cups arranged like a mouse or a clown with some waffles and a cherry for a nose, and other delightful treats, all of them ranging from $2.50 to $8 for something truly huge and over-the-top. A no-frills ice cream parlour that fits in perfectly with the surroundings and the clientele: no overpriced hipster ice cream flavours, no organic or vegan ice cream. Simply high-quality, very tasty ice cream. Although the staff are just as down-to-earth and sometimes a little too direct, special requests such as omitting whipped cream or substituting poppy seed ice cream (always works 😊) instead of lemon ice cream are gladly fulfilled. Ich geh schon mein Leben lang zum Pollys und war heute ein bisschen enttäuscht, ich war mit meinem Freund dort und hatte eigentlich keinen Hunger und wollte bei ihm mitessen (er hatte einen großen Eisbecher) , hab mich dann aber doch für eine kleine eistüte mit einer kugel entschieden und ich war schon nur am weg zum Tisch rufen mir 2 Kellnerinnen hinterher "mit der eistüte darfst du dich nicht reinsetzen" , aber hätte ich nichts bestellt wärs anscheinend ok gewesen. Macht für mich keinen Sinn (hätten wir beide eine tüte gehabt wäre es zwar sehr profitorientiert aber irgendwo verständlich, war ja aber nicht so) weil jeder Erwachsene Mensch kann eine Eistüte essen ohne alles anzupatzen und es ist nicht so als hätte ich wem den Platz weggenommen ich wäre ja in jedem Fall dort gesessen und das hätte ja nur mehr Konsum bedeutet. Ich bin kein Konfrontationsmensch, hab dort nix gesagt und bin einfach raus gegangen und hab meinem Freund von draußen zugeschaut wie er seinen Eisbecher isst, aber ganz ehrlich das hat mich schon ziemlich enttäuscht und verletzt, weil selbst wenn das eine Regel ist aus einem mir unersichtlichen Grund (wurde ja auch nicht begründet) kann man trotzdem situationsbedingt reagieren und auch begründen und in dem Fall wärs einfach nicht notwenig gewesen und hat sich angefühlt wie ein persönlicher Angriff, finde ich sehr schade weil ich eigentlich gerne...
