For Vienna this can be considered a decent and reasonably priced all you can eat Hot Pot experience. The Hot Pot bar and sauce bar is well maintained and stocked.
You can find fresh and frozen ingredients. Meat, poultry, seafood, tofu in all kinds of varieties, veggies, noodles. Only fresh lamb and beef will be served by a server from a cart that stops by throughout your stay. The soup is served in a separate pot for each patron and temperature can be adjusted individually, like at many Hai Di Lao restaurants. Soup refills are done with hot water.
Included is an order from a selection of starters as well, but they are nothing to phone home about. Tasteless and uninspired. Just go for the Hot Pot.
You can also get dessert in a self serve area. They have a few ice cream flavors, pudding, and some fruits.
As for the ambience, it's a bit loud, especially when you come in the music is blaring at you. At the tables further to the back it's luckily not as loud anymore. One nice touch are the separator walls between the booths. It feels a bit more private, I...
Read moreToday my friends and I decided to try out HotPot for the first time ever. I found Hey Hotpot on Instagram and the option of everyone having their own separate soup base made me choose this specific restaurant. When arriving we learnt that they’ve only been open for a few days. And let me tell you, there was no other way to tell that this wasn’t a restaurant that’s been around for long. First of the food was absolutely delicious. We each had a different soup base and all of them were incredible. (Be careful, if it says spicy it genuinely is) the different options of meats and vegetables, as well as bar to create your own dipping sauce and dessert made this the perfect meal. Also, I have never in my life experienced such friendly staff. The moment you walk in you feel well taken care off. Everything gets explained and if you have no idea how hotpot works they don’t judge and simply show you. Everyone had a smile on their face and one lady in specific even told us about the history of the restaurant. If I could give 6 stars, I would. I...
Read moreThis is it. You have found THE spot. Drop everything and try this. Since I tried hotpot in Seoul last year I’ve been looking for a good place in Vienna, and from those I have been to HEY!HOTPOT’s experience is simply unbeatable. Amazing soup bases, a wide selection of vegetables, sauce ingredients are just sublime (shoutout to satay). Seafood and meat is beyond tasty. The variety is also great. The staff were very welcoming and took care of everyone’s eating experience, bringing out food gradually so that it stays cooled and fresh. The also offered refills of everything often :)
I truly believe the price/performance is unbeatable for any all-you-can-eat in Vienna, for that matter. For 28,8 you get all of that plus a selection of desserts and fruits from the buffet. Mango sorbet is hugely recommended. Next time I’m here I’ll take pictures and add them to the review, this time the food complete captivated my...
