Jasmin Al-Sham — Restaurant in Vienna

I visited the restaurant with my Austrian friend, wanting to introduce her to the Syrian food culture, unfortunately! The restaurant has a completely uncivilized decor! The rooms prepared for the Arabic seating are brown and are dirty and full of dust! The carpet is full of rice grains and there were dirty paper napkins on the floor! The food does not reflect the Damascene or Syrian spirit! The kibbeh was dry, old and flavorless! Only The main dish was kind of good! The service was bad and even the plates that came after ordering were broken on the edges! I swear I had to go several times to ask someone to come! In the end, we ordered Nabulsi Kunafa and I told them I wanted to try the soft and coarse ones! The Kunafa was old and the cheese was hard and inedible! Despite that, the waiter was arguing with me as if I was not telling the truth! It was a disappointing experience! The employee told me that he would remove one of the dessert orders (which both we did not eat!) I asked him to count everything and I left them a tip. Note: I asked him before bringing the desserts if they were fresh and he said yes! When paying the bill everyone looked at me like I was just a passing customer and didn't care about my opinion, no regrets at all! They are careless, disrespectful and have very bad service! I will never go to that...

There is always something missing from the order I made for delivery. I have ordered so many times and each time the order is missing item which I have paid for. And they promised me to deliver the missing items and they never did! Last time I ordered to take away and I passed and picked up the order and it was again missing something that I paid for and I could only find out when I got home because they warp everything up well and you can not open everything in the bag! Especially with a big order and then I find out later that it is missing something!! The manager even tried to take the yogurt, which I have ordered, out of the bag claiming it was for a different order! I stopped him and said I am sure it was mine! And it sure was for my order! But he still said that he will give it to me anyway as if I was the one doing something worth! Shame on them for...

Fantastic find in desperation for somewhere to eat on Saturday evening without a reservation. The service was great, very friendly and professional. The food...wow! We had only vegetarian and it was great. I especially liked the Foul (I know it sounds weird but trust me, if you have not tried Foul you should) but also the hummus and the falafel were very, very good. Ah and don't forget the fatteh! Also great! The atmosphere is typical for such a place - the meat is being cooked right there next to you and it will smell - that's probably the only downside. They do pizza and have also a shisha section but we have not tried it. Prices very very nice, the foul is 5.5 euro I think and is a meal in itself. Will certainly return we are...
