To start with, I want to say that I am a trained chef with several years of vegan cooking experience and with a history of many years of vegan diet.
We came to loving hut because my girlfriend was at another Loving Hut subsidiary in Prague ad liked the buffet there. I had ordered no. 51 "PERKING SPEZIAL", which had the desciption "Gebratene Seitan Proteine, Gemüse und Pecking Sauce, serviert mit Reis".
The food looked good at first sight, but it soon came obvious that about 75% of this dish was seitan, the rest was a few poor vegetables and the usual Asia sauces with rice - Eating this way over the course of several years will most likely get you very sick and undersupplied with nutrients.
Taste was relatively bland and for me it was not possible to eat much of this dish because of the sheer amount of seitan without any real sides.
My general impression is, that this establishment is a cheap fast food place where vegans go to sin, not caring about quality or a wholesome and varied diet that does not make you very sick after some time.
All in all it was a waste of money for me as I not get full from this meal. I would not do this again and do not recommend this if youre not a vegan looking for fast food like others seek...

We were astonished by the freshness of the ingredients and we are from Greece, so we know of freshness. My avocado burger was delicious and had the best “cheese” we have ever tried. Everything we tried was extremely fresh and tasty and I loved the rice paper wraps! My husband and I joked, that maybe the restaurant had a hidden garden, that the chef cuts the vegetables, right after you order them! 🤷♀️ We also met the owner that was so friendly, polite, kind and he also gave as some advice about beautiful places that we can visit during our stay, such as a mountain with great view. If freshness of the ingredients is the number one criteria, this was by far the best vegan restaurant we have ever visited and now we are back in Greece we miss it!...
Read moreI’ve been wanting to go here for ages and last night didn’t disappoint. I had the sweet and sour rice dish and took some cake away to finish! It was delicious and I’m sure most non-vegans wouldn’t notice it was a soy dish rather than chicken. And I nearly checked about the milk in my coffee as I’m so used to asking, but of course it’s all plant-based. It’s fantastically located near the Twin Towers and the Hilton hotel so couldn’t be better located for me personally when I come to Vienna for work. I’d take my colleagues there and I’m sure they’d love it. Eating out here can be restrictive and/or repetitive for vegans unless you head into a couple of the restaurants centrally. I wanted everything on the menu and it makes a delightful change from hummus and falafel which is the running joke...
