Our experience overall wasn’t a good one, barely a two-stars worth experience and here’s why: We were a group of 8 moms going out for brunch with our babies in their prams/strollers and although we called in advance to make sure they could and would be willing to accommodate us, which they assured us they can and actually offered us the Keller space and promised help with the prams, they were understaffed and accordingly no help with the prams ... so many of us ended up carrying prams up and down the stairs and believe you me, not a fun start of a brunch :( The deal breaker was when one of us found a wasp in her café latté and called the waitress to complain ... the waitress was very chill about it and her only reply was a very insincere whatever kind of “Entschuldigung “!! Later on, when this incident was brought up her answer was “I didn’t put it there” .... Seriously! And then turns out she even brought a second cup without bothering to communicate it to the guest ... of course, no one noticed it and damage was done any way! The overall attitude was definitely not child friendly, which is totally okay if you don’t want to be this kind of place, but we actually called in advance and checked so WTH! There are plenty of other child friendly places we’d rather be and all it would have taken was a bit of honesty on their behalf to save us the trouble and the bad experience. Trust me, we weren’t on the lookout for trouble :/ To be fair, food and drinks were good, hence, the two stars. Finally, if the experience was bad enough for a new mom to take out of her precious time and write a google review, that says something! I hope they work on their service because I always thought it’s a nice spot. That is until I visited...
Read moreI had a TERRIBLE experience at this restaurant last night. The staff are extremely rude and visibly overwhelmed with work. A waiter tripped and dropped the drinks all over my friends sleeve, she was drenched and ended up having to change. He didn’t even apologise?!?! I mean it’s fine, these things happen, my friend’s a waiter herself and I was one too, but the way one doesn’t even bother to apologise is just beyond me. We then politely confronted our waiter about their behaviour and he completely lost it and started yelling at us 3 girls saying things like “what are you talking to me for” and “what do you want from me”… he at some point even started gaslighting her and telling her how it’s partially her fault as well (?!). Absolutely beyond me how this kind of behaviour is adequate in ANY situation. His yelling and arguing got worse and he wouldn’t even let us finish speaking. He then very aggressively let us know how he’s been there since 9AM and yelled “are you paying not??!” and just told us to leave a bad review on Google so here we are lol. We did speak to the manager and she was quite nice, but the waiter just couldn’t care less.. Had I treated my customers like this back in my waiting tables days I would’ve been fired right then and there… absolutely...
Read moreAs an expat I understand when restaurants list a meal as “American Style”…it’s an interpretation of what the managers/chef think it is. Let me confirm that ALL THINGS on the menu listed as American Style are authentic. The Honey Ribs were spot on, real-deal ribs I would expect in Dallas, Atlanta, San Diego or Miami. The Wings are perfect, lightly battered with a great garlic sauce. Other meals in our party of 10 were Burgers (x3) Cevapcici (x2), and the Salmon Pasta. The burgers were described as great, good, and Meh. Both diners really enjoyed the Cevapcici and the lone pasta diner reported that it was tasty. The atmosphere is casual and nicely done, especially the upper level. Great seating for a meal, or a cocktail. Lastly the service, our party was warmly greeted and seated quickly. But the best was the service. Our waiter was patient, attentive, friendly and polite. The issues serving a large group can be challenging and I’ve often experienced a significant indifference from restaurant staff in Vienna. Not so here. I would even consider our experience as “American Style Service”, which I mean as high praise directed to restaurant management. As Arnold would say...
