I usually don’t write reviews, but this time I wanted to notify the cafe’s administration and all the future clients.
First of all, the waiter took our drink order. I ordered regular tap water for myself, and raspberry soda for my mother. The waiter wrote it down incorrectly. Instead of regular water, he wrote mineral water (this is because it costs more) and my mother’s order actually came as regular soda. When I asked to change them to raspberries, the waiter rudely refused, saying that he had already placed the order. although I don’t see a problem adding raspberry syrup to the glass.
then half of the menu was not available. The waiter served very nervously, with some kind of unpleasant favor.
In his notebook he was writing an order for a larger quantity than we ordered. I had to correct him every time so that he wrote correctly.
There were still people sitting nearby who, during the work break, had been waiting for a long time (1 hour) for their order. They went back to work very hungry.
Normally Mexican food is prepared quickly. This is not my first Mexican restaurant. I visited Europe, America and Mexico itself. Absolutely no time management. It took 40 min to bring some tacos and quesadillas.
In the kitchen there is a girl with long, untied hair. Unprofessional.
One of the most disappointing thing was that my little brother ordered Eistee. There was only option for 4.20 at the menu. The check came for 8.40. They just explained that the drink was with the larger size. I mean, i will be totally fine if the taste would be great. But! The ice tee was just a colored water with tons of ice.
The food wasnt delicious at all and really small portions, the atmosphere was fine. Will I come back again? No. Never. Very disrespectful treatment from the staff, the experience was unpleasant and expensive for small portions, negligent attitude of management...
Read moreThis is my 2nd time here. This review is split between food and service/management. The food is an acceptable version of Mexican. I’m a California native who has lived in Mexico City, so a restaurant that serves Cali-Mex food is appealing. The food: The pork/carnitas are dumbed down and not Mexican or California’ized. The best taco’s are the fish tacos, by far. The Hawaiian tacos are very Cali, and not bad. The guacamole is very good, clearly made fresh. The service: Unfortunately the place is horribly managed. The first visit had very spotty service, but it was a recent opening, so it was forgivable. My second visit was unreal. The place was busy, maybe 2/3rds full. So I sat myself and waited. And waited. I understood that they were busy. After 16 mins a manager approached me, without a menu, and asked me to move for a bigger group. No sorry, no please sit here, nothing but full-on rude. I shook my head and left. Again no attempt to speak to me. Summary: if you are in the DZ Mall, and you must have something moderately Mexican then good luck. Otherwise there are so many better options. My guess is after the novelty of tacos in DZ wears off, they are gone. I give it 2 years, unless the management...
Read moreThis restaurant is visually sophisticated with a lot of latino and Mexican vibes. However, the food and the service can't keep up with the atmosphere.
We had a cheese quesadilha, which was quite bland and the salad was old the lettuce even had browish spots.
As for the main we had a beef burrito and avocado mango shrimp tacos, the burrito had some strange seasoning, which resembled Slavic cuisine more than anything else, you could barely taste the meat, it was not so pleasant... As for the taco shrimps, it was pretty decent but it tasted like a typical avocado mango salad with some shrimps on too, instead of Mexican tacos. We have eaten at many Mexican places before and this place was rather disappointing.
To make things worse, the service was not so good. Our waiter was unfriendly and had such a frown, as if he was doing a favor serving us. He didn't even bring us cuterly with our food. We had to ask at the main counter. Were we supposed to eat...
